I did think quite a bit on the matter, and I came to the conclusion that naruto isn't exactly what people hype him up to be in base mode. His current modes like SM, KM, and BM are what really makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Base Naruto is not kage level but still above Chunin. Therefore, in kyuubi mode, it is agreeable he is above chunin and almost kage level.

Umm maybe off topic, but isn't Naruto a chunin anyway? I was just curious, since he never passed the test.

In base mode,he has his crazy stamina,his unreal chakra capacity,and his strenght(not up to tsunade's) he's got some pretty cool jutsu's even though most are rasengan variants,oh! Senjutsu is a jutsu,aint it?
So all what those powerups do is double,or triple what he already had!
OT;base mode with SM that's what am saying.

He's high kage without kurama. Sm( strength, speed, excellent sensing, durability, all his other jutsu become stronger)that he can keep up indefinitely, badass summons, top class genjutsu that can affect multiple enemies, kage bushin better than anyone and rasenshuriken.

His strength isn't very great compared to other strong types(its only a 3.5 in the most recent DB) Senjutsu is regular ninjutsus enhanced with natural chakra, which can only be achieved in SM, a supplementary enhancer that isn't legitimately part of his base mode.

If you want to know his rank in SM, then I would say that he would be kage level in power.

Fastrewind,you don't get it? That DB you used was made during the begining of part2,a lot has changed since then.
Naruto was able to hold his ground in taijutsu against deva path when SM was exhausted,
Naruto tanked a mature kenjutsu specialist with his bare hands!
In his base mode his speed and timing is high,kakashi said it when he rescued sakura!
So pls don't use the 3rd DB as proof,because a lot has changed!

Base Naruto still has the Rasengan, Shadow Clones, and Toad Summons. Even without SM, he can hold his own very well against a lot of ninja xd

It's a supplementary ability used to amplify his other abilities. It's not classified as a jutsu, but as an enhancement technique, just like the gates, ration armor, KM, and other supplementary abilities that grant them the ability to use fighting the uniques on a higher level than normal

I do get it. His base stats have likely increased by then, but I don't think they will increase by as much as you are hyping it to be. Plus, I regard those feats to be close his 3rd databook stats anyways.

No, the name is sennin mode. Senjutsu is just the ninjutsu used when in sage mode.

As far as grades go, he's genin level actually. As far as potential go, then if you take base Naruto he's mid-jounin level easy. Put SM into the equation, and it raises him to low-kage level as his SM lasts for 5 minutes and can be extended with additional. Had it been for more time, I would have placed him at high-kage level easily.
