Wtf is black Zetsu doing?

It seems as if Black Zetsu wants to keep Obito alive, he isn't even trying to restrain him from his actions. He's basically doing nothing except keep Obito alive. In fact, wouldn't it have been better if he didn't latch on to Obito in the first place??? Because now he's keeping him alive for nothing which is really dumb. Also now that Obito is trying to save Naruto in his own little space-time realm, why doesn't black Zetsu just separate from Obito? There's not much Obito would be able to do if that happened and Sakura couldn't do shit. So it seems like Black Zetsu actually wants to help Obito? Either this or he is just incredibly dumb. that's preventing Madara from getting back his Rinnegan... So yeah, wtf is Zetsu doing?

Obito assumed control through sheer force of will. Zetsu is currently a stick and will soon try and attach to Naruto but Sakura will Shanaroo him and he will die. in my opinion, black zetsu is not seperating from obito, because he cant.. the moment he tries to seperate, kakashi and minato were prepared to block its path from Madara, and now, as obito is in the other dimension, it wouldnt matter even if he seperated from obito, because then he'll remain in that dimension which only obito and kakashi can access, and to furthur conclude my theory, Obito's new found will power also has role to play in it..

Obito has the Will of Fire back inside him and no longer uses the Curse of Hatred. It's like people who use the hatred curse tend to be weak minded and more emotional thus causing their will to also be weak and they're easily manipulated but once they regain the Will of Fire they become less reckless and have more self control.

Obito is just showing this which is why he can manipulate BZ instead of letting it manipulate him. Zetsu wants to leave but Obito wont let him.

Either Black Zetsu is waiting for the right moment to do something in Madara's favor, or he is being mentally surpressed, as he was when he wanted to leave Obito earlier after Madara's arrival.

But either way, I don't think Obito would die if Black Zetsu left him, at least not instantly. Remember, Obito got a part of the first and eight tails, so he should have a life/power source again...

Op, the answer is actually very simple.

Absorbing Yin Kurama half in himself while being attached to Obito's body Black Zetsu increased his own power at the same time increased power of Obito's as well due to being connected with Obito's body.

IN my opinion, Yin Kurama half used opportunity created by relaxed Black Zetsu being in control to contact Obito and using it's power recover Obito's body and refill chakra in Obito's body. Black Zetsu didn't interfere or try to surprass Kurama so Kurama fooled Black Zetsu while pretending to be silent. The most likely Yin Kurama informing surprassed Obito in his mind about Naruto's death would trigger anger and guiltiness of not doing everything to prevent it while Naruto saved him caused Obito to awake and force his will overpowering BZ while Yin Kurama helps him. BZ was not prepared for that so he was took off guard.

In short: BZ stolen Yin Kurama from Minato-> BZ relaxes and make laugh of Minato-> Yin Kurama contact Obito and try to persaude him or message him about Naruto's death while healing Obito's body-> Obito along with Yin Kurama take BZ with surprise will attack restoring his control over his body.

However If I am correct then BZ will take control over Obito once again after Obito transfer all tailed beasts chakra + Yin Kurama to Naruto's body to revive him. Obito will be then left with his own will and his recovered body... it will be up to Kishi to show that Obito recovered enough to keep BZ surprassed or it will be twist and BZ will take control over leaving Naruto and Sakura locked in other dimenssion.

Zetsu's purpose was to keep tabs on the Rinnegan so Madara could claim it. Inadvertently, this kept Obito alive for longer than expected. Zetsu is also a more stealth based fighter. In CQB like this he's defeated by Kakashi or Minato for example. Thus, he hasn't left because it is suicide PLUS he fails to give Madara the eye.
