I think alot of things happened, technology, rights moments, *** suddenly blew up and became a public thing. It disgusts me to see young girls on like fb and shit posing half naked or in bikinis, like where the **** are your parents, ( which I'm not putting all the blame on parents) just saying, now days more young girls want attention from guys and alot of older guys give them this kind of attention, its sickening. People think that the next generation is going to be worse, but I think younger people are seeing whats going on, they aren't dumb, and they want to change and be/do better.
*** has always been humanities number 1 desire honestly. Humans were always sexual beings, but for the last 1500 years Christianity has been suppressing sexuality with their negative views on it. The Romans were very openly sexual 2000 years ago, along with many other historical cultures. Now that Christianity is back being a religion instead of a world ruling super power like it was for about 11 centuries sexuality is coming back to the surface.

Women no longer have to abide by the idealistic views that society holds for them. Back then, there were certain norms that women and men alike had to live by in order to get accepted in public. But now, even the most outlandish people will find someone of the same wavelength as them so they don't need to be "normal" anymore. Walking around like a mini version of Snooki may attract certain negative opinions, but they aren't shunned by society. And we live in a world where getting noticed is everything. So the whackier you dress/behave, the more public recognition you get, and that's one of the most sought after things in the world today: recognition.

That said, Audrey Hepburn is my eternal idol, so comparing her to the likes of someone like Snooki... >_> It's like taking the best and the worst of two completely different time periods. Which also brings me to: this happened over the last few decades, not just the last decade (in reference to the thread title; a simple typo, perhaps?).
Disagree fully, as much as they act outgoing and independent, they will do anything to abide by the idealistic picture of women that society holds.
Women are insecure and they go to drastic measures to try and look a certain way, dress a certain way, talk a certain way and get accepted which most of the time only makes it worse.

Very well said. That is certainly the sad truth.
