Manda is the only summon that asks for 100 human sacrifices, Even Orochimaru/Kabuto were scared of him. That makes him somewhat of an outcast/an unusual summon.

Therefore, Manda must have been different from other snakes and had a real bad reputation in Ryūchi Cave
