Xcution is just part of the bigger plot. They are probably working for a new 'enemy'. I think Ichigo and Aizen is going to work together one day. I mean, we don't know if Aizen really wanted to overthrow Soul Society and stand in the place of the absent Gods, as Ichigo asked Urahara this:
