This place.
It wasn't too much of a recognizable place for him, having grown up in two completely seperate environments; one of wind and sand, the other of mist and rain, something like this where the weather was completely calm without a single cloud in sight was just... peaceful.
Ryūnosuke, lying there in the grass just snoozing away like no tomorrow felt a certain kind of serenity within the area and himself. His most trusted friend, Yoshimitsu beside him just without a care in the world, being able to just do nothing but sleep the day away in this calm, but unknown land. It wasn't completely unknown, the small retreat where he could come to feel safe from the torments and tribulations of being a shinobi, especially one as demanding as that of the mist, widely known for their coarse amount of bloodshed.
But the puppeteer himself wasn't like that at all. Of course he was accepted into their kind, despite having come from the other side of the world, but he was grateful to them to take someone like him in. Abandoned by his own family, in search for something new; someone with a shred of acceptance.

It wasn't all fun and games being a shinobi of the mist, with the pact being made to fight for blood and not for the safety of the inhabitants. It was a curse, but something that was needed to balance out the life he had lived. Someone with such a harsh childhood could surely brave the wastelands covered in thick mist.
Thoughts flooding back to his mind from years back; he rubbed his right arm, there was a mark of the mist village permanently marked there. No going back, he was to serve this place for the rest of his career. Of course, being a man who traveled to many parts of the world has its benefits, but none so fitting as a place to call his home...
"It's been a wild ride, huh...?" Ryūnosuke muttered, nudging the arm of Yoshimitsu lightly, making sure not to break it's not-so-fragile frame. Yoshimitsu, a fine puppet crafted after the living embodiment of his Kiyoshi friend who also resided in the mist village, mostly residing like that of a samurai. While he wasn't seen too often, the puppet was considered his best friend. It was a weird habit to make friends with a doll, but it was all he had during the time.

While it was a nice time to be resting, it would have been nice to have something exciting happen.

The day was cool and breeze just to die for, it was moment like these that took Darui on a safe mind trip, one where he would feel free from all the fighting and killing, while many of the people hate it all, fighting and war was all needed to set everything straight, and Darui was not one to stand in the way of something so important, furthermore Darui decided to take a break away from his village for a while and left to some unknown land for some peace of mind, though it all seemed so peaceful, Darui still couldn't help but set himself up with all his ninja equipment and keep his guard up the entire time.

All set and ready to go, he walked off to the lands unknown, as usual Darui has both of his hands in his pocket, the left one completely inside the left pocket but the right was slightly to the edge of the right pocket, ready for anything and to grab hold of his clobber blade should anyone attempt anything.

Darui came across a nice and silent section and relaxed on the ground all by himself...

He then heard the words...

'It's been a wild ride, huh...?'

And turn his head in several directions to see where the voice was coming from, assuming that this unknown person was speaking to him, Darui then caught a glimpse of a man speaking to what seemed to be a puppet, and locked his eyes on him before opening his mouth and uttering the words...

"So you are here for some peace and quiet to, I presume?"
