Exactly. It shows that it was hatred and war that held the naruto universe kinda frozen in time without advancement of technologies. Technology finally started advancing and at a rapid pace too. At first I didn't like naruto's laptop and the metropolis in the background and then I thought about it. Everything kishi does can be considered as symbolism lol!

Why would technology matter in the NV when you have Dojutsu that can literally do anything for you. If I want to send a message, i'll just use Ino to send it to somebody. E-mail's such a waste of hokage's time. We all know what naruto was doing on that laptop. But even then sexy jutsu would be more satisfying.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the city in the background. I mean, first off, destroying all of that forest to create a huge city is not, in my eyes, a good thing. Secondly, it cheapens Konoha and makes it look like a tourist attraction. Thirdly, the skyscrapers totally overshadow the Hokage mountain. Fourthly, I think the presence of the city basically shows that ninjas are a dying breed; even now, it seems that Naruto is "Hokage" in name only; there's no need for him to protect the village anymore. Pretty soon all the ninja kids will realize there's no work for them anymore, and they'll move to the city.

saves space from all those books they used to have. send emails to the other villages instead of sending a ninja, saves time and lessens the risk. share intel quicker because theres someone always up to no good.
