If Naruto's author created new characters from the war? Not one that we know of, just ninjas who are, possibly rouge or something. It'd be awesome if we saw the konoha 11 interact with NEW rivals other than Naruto. For example, a new character could be with Genjutsu which rivals to Sauske's Sharingan. Cocky characters wouldve been also awesome to have introduced, then form a relation with a Konoha 11, before getting killed.

It'd also be awesome if they created mystery Ninjas, like when Itachi was in the beginning.

I'd rather see a handful of well developed characters than a multitude of characters shoehorned into the story for cool points. That's why.
