The reason i say that because i personally think it would be awesome because i'm guessing that itachi would rather sasuke let him deal with kabuto by himself as a away of re-writing his wrongs like for example not being a good role model for sasuke and eliminating the uchiha clan, not only that but even though eventually the edo tensei technique would be stopped somehow i don't think it would be that easy.
I think that there will be a twist and the twist could be that even if edo tensei is stopped edo madara would still be around and i think kabuto knows this and just as the tech has ended and kabuto is dying and itachi dissapears, kabuto laughs menacingly and tells them that if they think all the edos have gone they're wrong and the uchiha bros ask him what does he mean and kabuto will tell them about madara uchiha and how he has upgraded his body,they'll ask kabuto if there's a way to stop madara to which kabuto replies by laughing and saying "THE LEGENDARY MADARA UCHIHA CANNOT BE STOPPED AND AS WE ARE HAVING THIS CONVERSTION HE'S GIVING THE KAGES A TASTE OF TRUE UCHIHA POWER ,BEING THAT I'M NO LONGER IN CONTROL HE MIGHT EVEN USE RINNE REBIRTH TO RESSURECT HIMSELF AND GET REVENGE ON THE LEAF POSSIBLY THE WORLD!.
And after that itachi just before he disappears he tells sasuke that even though he wants revenge there are more important things that need dealing with like for instance as kabuto said the kages are currently struggling against madara uchiha,and itachi says if you want to be forgiven for your crimes you can start by helping the kages afterall you're an uchiha not only that but you've become a fine shinobi perhaps even better than me besides your friend needs you in his battle against tobi!afterall you and naruto both have a reason to want him dead,he ruined both your lives so don't take revenge on the elders or the leaf they're not your enemy so go and help save the shinobi world.
And finally near to the end of the next manga chapter it shows the kages struggling against madara who has made 25 clones of himself and just as they're about to be killed all of the sudden the clones are all wiped out leaving the original and the kages are shocked when they see sasuke standing there and they wonder why sasuke came to their rescue.
Sasuke says "sorry i'm late" and tells them that he's sorry for attacking the kage summit and all his other crimes and that if it wasn't for itachi he wouldn't have gone to rescue them and that he realises the mistakes he's made and that he'll repay everyone by putting his life on the line to deal with madara uchiha to which the kages reply by telling sasuke they forgive him besides in order for them to stand a chance against madara they need an uchiha on their side and luckily sasuke turned up,sasuke smiles, closes his eyes and thinks about naruto and how he's a hero for saving the leaf then sasuke says to himself that it's his turn(sasuke) to be a hero.
Madara uchiha stares menacingly at sasuke and asks who is he and sasuke replies by saying something like "MY NAME IS SASUKE UCHIHA! REMEMBER IT! YOU WILL NOT HARM THE KAGES YOU HAVE ANOTHER UCHIHA STANDING INFRONT OF YOU NOT ONLY THAT BUT BEING THAT I'VE AWAKENED ETERNAL MAGEKYO SHARINGAN I COULDN'T THINK OF A MUCH BETTER OPPONENT TO TEST MY ABILITIES ON LUCKY ME!. Then tsunade smiles and says to herself "i'm proud of you sasuke" then madara uchiha says something like " do you who is not fully accustomed to the ems think that you stand a chance against me? don't make me laugh! compared to the power of the rinnegan, my rival hashirama senjus woodstyle, and my legendary uchiha abilities you have made a mistake that would cost you your life, then who wil stop me from ressurecting myself and getting revenge on the leaf" then the kages will tell sasuke that they will not let sasuke take on madara by himself and that they'll assist him afterall once they've done they can go back up naruto,bee,kakashi and guy.
After the kages tell sasuke that they'll lend their assistance sasuke tells them ok but they shouldn't over do it because if the kages die who will lead the 5 great nations and tells the raikage and gaara that bee and naruto need them there and that he wants them to tell naruto etc that sasuke is assisting the rest of the kages against madara to which gaara replies by telling sasuke that he underestimates naruto and that narutos become more powerfull and could hold on a little longer against tobi which shocks sasuke and gaara tells sasuke "naruto is no longer the naruto you knew he's grown, if it were'nt for him escaping the island we all would have been dead, what's more shocking is how powerful he's become! apparently he sent several shadow clones to all the battlefieds and took out most of the zetsu army and edos saving everyone in the process, sasuke you may have become more powerful aswell but i wouldn't forgive myself if you were killed in this battle! besides naruto wants to see you,ALIVE! so whether you like it or not we kages will assist you with our full support" then sasuke says something like "ok then it's showtime".
It then skips to naruto's battlefield where the alliance is there assisting him against tobi and naruto is clearly worn out but still fighting and tobi decides to make hundreds of clones of himself then naruto retaliates by making some shadow clones which are a mix of naruto in different forms which include sagemode,kyubi mode and bijuu mode which charges towards tobis clones with the alliance then it ends when it shows them clash.
