Still though, his fight as well against Obito was on numerous ocassions on sage mode and all naruto had to do in this latest chapter was to land one good empowered by sage mode punch and it would be game over.

Yeah , I don't understand though , naruto can still use the sage mode without chakra mode , like he did here when he saved guy from madara's gudoudama :

Apparently Naruto was out of chakra from the war and battle with Kaguya, so he most likely couldn't use sage mode since Naruto has to balance his chakra with senjutsu to stabilize sage mode....

Although if he did, then I can't see Sasuke dealing with frog kumite (or whatever that air punch is).

OT: Plot didn't restrict Naruto from using Sage Mode, your stupidity restricted you from remembering that one must balance Senjutsu chakra with one's own chakra.

No personal chakra, no sage mode, regardless of Senjutsu chakra intake.

I did remember that but I left it out to see if others would point it out XD And in any case, Naruto supposed completely drained in multiple occasions against Obito so I'm not really about how much of this stability between his own chakra, sage chakra and his body. With so large charka reserves even when he's completely drained out, that might still be enough for sage mode, I don't know.

A lot of y'all are saying this sage mode bullshit but fail to realize naruto would have been unable to use any chakra because of preta path. Sasuke already absorbed the kyuubi chakra from naruto that the kyuubi had just gathered and that means of the kyuubi gathered senjutsu that would have been absorbed as well. Unlike the preta path pain who could not absorb large amounts of senjutsu into that body sasuke can and is a perfect match with senjutsu already stated by orochimaru and proven several times after absorbing juugo's senjutsu and having the curse mark.


Naruto would stay in sage mode 1 second and have that chakra absorbed neg diff.


So don't blame it on plot as to why naruto didn't use sm because kishi planned it like that because letting naruto use sm at that time would would have only benefited sasuke.

Well Naruto on sage mode does not have to make necessarily physical contact with Sasuke. From kumite could be used as an extension of naruto's punches so it's not like that Naruto would have to touch him to become vulnerable to preta path.

And in this way everyone is happy XD. Seriously though, in my last thread I wasn't downgraded Naruto, I just though that it's funny to talk about a 1 vs 1 while we he has a comerade-collegue during all his fights.

Well I don't know, I assume that after his meet with Hagoromo his chakra reserves grew even bigger so you never know when he's completely out of juice.

Frog Kumite is not the main issue. The funny thing would have been if Sasuke absorbed way too much nature energy.

Impossible at this rate. Chapter 462 speaks by itself... only the Ashura's Successors have the body to hold high amount of chakra to awake Sage Mode (high amounts of chakra are needed to awake sage mode).

I give you the fact that Sasuke has tremendous eye powers, and that he has great spiritual energy, enabling him to concentrate devastating jutsus with little amount of his powerful chakra.

But powerful chakra doesn't mean lot of chakra. It only means powerful nonetheless.

The one who posses high amounts of chakra here is Naruto, chapter 17 is the proof.

Last chapter also proved that when Sasuke uses external sources of chakra (the bijuu) he is not match against Naruto's Senjutsu chakra, meaning that Sasuke doesn't have spiritual energy left to knead powerful chakra.

If Sasuke really were able to earn the title of "mastery over sage chakra", he should be able to awake Sage Mode. But last chapter proved that he didn't use Senjutsu Chakra, he could not handle that quantity of chakra for this purpose, as Naruto could.

So... I guess Sasuke is practically FCKED right now, aside of his chidori, his last resort.
