It's not like Naruto/OP/Bleach in the sense it's based on action. Death Note is really good. It's made in a real world, just with a Shinigami "dropping" a Death Note. Action, if you want it, really kicks in when Mello enters. There is more guns and fire-power involved with him. It's 37 episodes and it doesn't get boring like some of the said action animes do sometimes (Mainly just Naruto and Bleach sometimes). I really suggest it. It's not boring, but it may not be for you. I really like more "action" anime I guess, but Death Note is amazing. I also like mind vs mind, so it works. Add in cops, business men, insane people, Misa-Misa, and Shinigami and you have yourself a 10/10 show (for me anyways).



Short summary: It's like Criminal Minds, NCIS, or something of that sort. A little more badass though.

Not really, even though i agree with Kira's ideals... his method of creating a new world is simply just not what i believe in; never will we ever see a "Utopia" because there is always malice and mischief in people's hearts so therefore creating the perfect world/community would be simply wasted efforts...

Well I have to admit that I like the idea of a peaceful world. To be honest some crimes are so bad, that they just can't be forgiven no matter how forgiveful you are. I mean, stealing is not that bad to deserve death but murder and rape etc? Yeah especially if they commit those crimes repeatedly. Light had a good idea with that, but sadly enough he just went a bit over the edge with it ^^; But the idea on its own had its merrits. *shrugs*
