Would you still read TG:re if Kaneki died?

I doubt he will die, but it would be really unprecedented if a manga killed off its main character. I would most certainly still read the manga and perhaps, even like it more if they had the guts to pull it off.

I am more worried about Hinami. It seems like she might end up sacrificing herself, but thankfully there are just as many flags for it as there are against it

It has happened in other stories as well though it's not often: Death Note, Code Geass (it's up to the viewer to decide), spoiler: Assassination Classroom. As a tragedy though, I don't think that the tragic hero can die before the end of the story. That being, it doesn't matter what we would do as the story would have been already over by the time that happened XD

I don't read this manga because of Kaneki, so yeah, I would still read it.

Though if he's replaced by Kaneki 2.0 (a.k.a Mitsuki) I'll drop it out of frustration.

Kaneki is most definitely dying at the end of this. I dont know if the end of re will be the end of Ztokyo ghoul as a whole but at the the end of tokyo ghoul as a whole kaneki will die. Why? Because it was made clear as day that this is a tragedy in the very first chapter. In tragedies, the main characters always die see macbeth, hamlet, Romeo and juliet and while those are only works by shakespeare, the kind of define the genre.

But i dont think kaneki will die until the end, so if he dies here the story wont last much longer anyways. So i guess yes I would because it will finish in less than a dozen chapters after.
