[Discussion] Would you mind the dynamic of the M3 being destroyed?

So yeah Oda has been hinting towards new nakama recently.

Candidates such as Law, Jinbei etc would completely upset the idea of the monster trio. Whilst I'd be all for this, I sense some of us out there wouldn't like this.

Side note: If Law joins, Oda has to make it spectacular, it can't be half arsed. He also has to figure out what to do with the rest of Law's crew. However I have full faith that Oda, will make it perfect whatever happens.

The thing is, Oda isn't going to mess it up. He's established this trio after years, which is why Law and Jinbe aren't joining.

I still don't get why do people still think that Law will be joining the crew.
Yes, it's One Piece... Anything can happen, I know. But he has his own crew.
For me at least, he's to Luffy what Mihawk is to Shanks.

As for Jinbe, that's definitely a possibility (even semi-confirmed) that he'll be joining the crew.
As for the thread itself, I don't mind if the monster trio dynamic gets dumped if other stronger members join the crew... But the original trio will still be closer than the newbies... Presumptuous, but somewhat true. (+ a female Straw Hat, please Oda? *puppy dog face*)

The M3 ranking hasn't even been relevant since Enies Lobby, so I don't care.

Law isn't joining, not everyone Luffy asks to join ends up joining. He asked that tree and zebra on Thriller Bark to join too.

He showed his guts when he attacked tenryuubitos at shabondy, something that Law most likely noticed, and possess the will of "D" that Law seems to know since pre-timeskip and is glad to follow, reason why he decided to save him during the war and later on try an alliance with him to defeat Doflamingo.

He may be aiming for the one piece, but he is surely and slowly becoming attached to Luffy(maybe without him even realising yet) judging by their interactions, and the fact they are portrayed as such shows to me they will never become enemies anymore. I think that while Law will become ally to Luffy, Kidd will become Luffy's ultimate rival. Luffy is the one who will settle things with Doffy and Law will be like Bejita was to Goku when he fought Bu, admiring his will and power

I may be wrong, but judging by their current showings, it's the likiest Law destiny to me

Law when beaten up by Doffy, said they "D would definitely bring a storm". This implies that Law knows Luffy will be the one to succeed and wanted to enable that - hence he attempted to stop Luffy fighting Doffy so that Kaido wouldn't come down on him.

Do you think Luffy is the only D that exists or something? It's obvious that Law knows something about what the D means, so that initial, Luffy being the same class as him, meeting him on the Archican'tspellthis, and seeing what he did to the CD must have led Law to believe that Luffy will be on the Ds to stir up the storm.

That's still not enough to mean Law is joining his crew though.

I think Thriller Bark showed that the M3 Ranking is meaningless now, seeing as how Sanji and Zoro both remained after attacks that packed more damage than Luffy could deliver. I think that was Oda's way of saying "Stop worrying about their rank, they're all beasts."

The fact that they have followed the Luffy-1st strongest villain, Zoro-2nd, Sanji-3rd since Enies Lobby would support that.

If it was the case, Oda would not have created the supernova and worse generation system to seperate Luffy and Zoro from Sanji, as well as calling Zoro vice-captain by a fellow supernova(Urouge) and a strawhat fanboy(Bartolomeo), would not have given Luffy and Zoro better trainings and so on. When will people finally acknowledge Zoro is the stronger of the two? No one is saying Zoro will roflstomp him, but Sanji is clearly weaker. Zoro will win after a high diff fight
