Honestly, I find the Base plot of naruto quite nice, Chakra and all that.
Maybe a new series based around time of Madara or Hagaromo, Or indra and ashura.
Or maybe even an all new idea in the future of naruto.

I wouldn't mind long Naruto fillers when he is older or when he becomes Hokage to see what his life would be like. Not to mention him WAY older with his pregnant wife, and kids. ​
