I think it would ruin the originality if they made a part two because it would seem forced, so I wouldn't like a part 2 even though I loved Death Note.

Nah. Everything's done. Near & Mello. Misa commits suicide. L is dead. Light is dead.

I think this was what they were trying to do with the Director's Cuts. To bring some `part 2` to the show with Light as a Shinigami and some unreleased sequences, that were pretty impressive, in my opinion.
