No, you can't bring back everybody and Jiraiya would be a tad too obvious. There's nothing he can add to the 'Dead reanimated' theme that wouldn't just be repeating Asuma and Team 10.

No that would ruin his character. Even Kishi knew better than to do that. His death represented Naruto's lesson about Pain of loss from Nagato and allowed him to better understand how Sasuke felt when he lost his father and mother.

To bring him back as an Edo would have undermined that whole message.

fam I made an account just to say this: Had you watched the anime or even read the manga, Kabuto clearly states that some corpses were irretrievable, stating that Jiraya's body was far too beneath the hidden rain village's ocean to be retrieved... It was crushed beyond a doubt and that there wasn't any piece of item that he could use to resummons him... Would've been cool to see him tho: him meeting Naruto :D

Yeah..it's a hypothetical thread. Kishi stating that to the audience was him just outrightly declaring to his audience he wasn't going to do that twist. Especially later when you find out he managed to somehow managed to scrape together DNA for Deidara and Mu who literally turned to dust or was killed decades ago.

Noo!
Lately Jiraiya in the anime looks so not like him and any episode about him would ruin his character. I hope no one wants this.

No it would've undermined the development that Naruto had within the Pain Arc where he learned how to tolerate the pain of a loved one and pursue his goals independently with Jiraiya no longer by his side. I'm not sure if anything substantial would've emerged had Jiraiya been forced into the manga. He was already given proper closure and with the egregious trend of the War Arc, his power would've been nerfed considerably which would've tarnished the reputation associated with the prodigal title, "Sannin". It simply wouldn't have worked.

Nah, J-man's death had a huge impact on the series and on the MC, so he should have stayed dead, and only be remembered as a great mentor, and a great man, and even a perv XD
