Would you disappointed if Minato has no new techniques to show?

Somewhat, yes. I'd be disappointed if we don't see any of Tobirama's hyped techniques either.

Kishi has the perfect opportunity to prove what Minato can do when the Hokages go to the battlefield, so it would be wasteful to not develop his character.

Yes. I would be really disappointed if Minato has nothing new to offer.
Being considered a genius ninja, child prodigy (and hype); Minato must show some new techniques and at-least mastery over one elemental ninjutsu.
It is like when Itachi was revived, he revealed new techniques Shisui's kotoamatsukami and Izanami and it felt good that itachi still had some techniques under his sleeves. In the same way, Minato must show something new/nice to manga readers.

Considering what has been shown of Hashirama's techs, I believe the other Hokages may have the chance to demonstrate abilities that have not been shown yet.

I would like to see him use other tech. but I wont be disappointed if he doesn't, I mean look at all the other Kage's Tsunade only got healing and strength, Gara only got sand, A only got lightning armor(speed and strength). Every kage is just awesome at what they do.

But Minato tried to put his own element into his Rasengan so I'm sure he can use other tech.

He has shown some variety. He created rasengan, FTG, sealing techniques, but I doubt those are the entire reason he became Hokage.

Also Madara will have to be sealed as he is an edo. Minato is the only one with a very advanced knowledge of sealing techniques (thanks to Kushina) so he may show something interesting there.

No, I liked the creativity and strategy that came with him only using two techniques in his fight with Obito. Plus, just as with the revealing of Obito being able to use Mokuton, the same question appears, where exactly were these abilities during his and Obito's previous fight together?

^exactly this. I'd be more disappointed if he did reveal new techs. Unless it's just some run-of-the-mill jutsu that we just happen to have not seen him use, which pretty much defeats the point.

its funny how kishi uses minato to demonstrate why the uzumaki clan were so feared and killed in the end.


all of his techs are from the uzumaki clan apart from rasengan and animal summoning.

I don't mind seeing more from minato mainly because it would be nice to see more from the uzumaki clan oddly enough lol
