Tobi is truly my favorite character out of Naruto and every other anime I have ever seen, so yes, I would be terribly sad.
He is truly the most interesting character I have ever laid my eyes on. He appeared as a frail, weak akatsuki member, but it was all just a play in his genius. He builds on the powerful notion: Never underestimate somebody whom you have no idea about. He is an all around badass, pretending to be weak to hide his all-mighty powers.
