Friendship is complex and subjective term, but I would find it interesting to get to know a terrorist/criminal. I would want to know what their ideology is, why they strive for violence; I would do my best to convince them that their actions are morally corrupted.

I agree, but convince them? Nah, that's taken it to far. People like that are hard to convince.

Being friends with someone because of their antisocial activities is plain stupid on one hand and selfish on another. Because you are not even interested in the person but his reasons for crimes and cheap thrill of knowing a criminal.

You can befriend someone not knowing their criminal background or from before they turned criminal and just didn't choose to break up for good because of that. That's understandable. But once they are involved with criminal actions it would be better to be vary and cautious. It goes for double if they are in to criminal/terrorist activities due to some ideology or personal ambition. Then you may not know it but you may already be the on his menu.

eh i think is possible to be cool and a criminal. A lot of assassins psychopats are normal people and the ones who lived with them -like classmates and family members got surprised they were serial killers.
