It's plausible, cause I really doubt Obito is going to die in the upcoming chapters.

1. Fans do want to see a reunion between him and Minato, who perhaps has his side of the story about Rin
2. There are still a few unexplained events that only Obito can explain, which will take some time (Why did he attack Konoha, why did he help Itachi in the massacre, what happened in the bloody mist and Yagura?)
3. It feels like the fight between Obito and Naruto isn't over yet... and since Naruto is the main character, I doubt Team Minato's story will be finished without him knowing what happened.

Since there's still a lot to do regarding Obito, he might end up being the final villain just because Kishi will need that extra time to nicely tie everything up. And he's the perfect opponent for the main character.

The more I think about it, Obito would be a decent final villain. I could imagine Naruto and the Edo hokage weakening or distracting the Juubi long enough for Obito to somehow seal it inside him.

Orochimaru would be a great final villain....If you don't look at things too detailed. His reasoning wouldn't be too good, and it'd be a bit forced. But better than Madara.

Madara needs to go,Obito shouldn't give his life up for him. He's not too fun to watch in action anymore.

I agree with this. Madara has just gotten lame to me. He's nothing more than a mash-up of various op abilities, he's honestly at this point really boring to watch in action, and he hasn't even shown us any signature ms jutsu, he has no real purpose or identity to me and his overall character is a huge let down. I hope obito betrays him and takes control of the juubi for himself. Madara at this point is a waste of pages and panels.

Obito's got a major role on all this,he may very well be the last villian, and orochimaro? I don't think so. Still I hope the last villian would not be obito but the juubi alone , nigga got a dead personality and is always doing philosophy on peace.
