Instead of Zetsu army Obito manipulates events to make the villages turn on each other and attack each other. Konoha and Sand are the only allied villages. Military heads from other villages would be more intimidating and intense rather than a bunch of goofy teenagers. Naruto would be drawn out because he wants to stop the violence. Eventually Obito throws his plan into full swing and floods the battlefields with Zetsu clones to throw things into chaos and unleashes the edo tenseis. This is when someone gives a speech and gets the panicked shinobi to finally join forces to survive. They push back and begin sealing all the edos but then Madara shows up and ****s shit up etc. I just think the message would have been more powerful if they didn't unite so easily at first, it would be fitting for Obito to be like Envy from FMA and turn people against each other to prove that the world cannot be fixed and the infinite tsukyomi is nessesary.
