Would the manga have been better if Itachi killed his entire clan including Sasuke?

The logic behind this question is very simple and should be looked at with an open mind.

1. Itachi would still probably be alive

I firmly believe that Itachi would have been a much bigger help than Sasuke has been. Imagine Itachi as Naruto's sidekick instead of Sasuke. Naruto would also have less work to do since he wouldn't have to worry about Itachi getting killed or getting stabbed by Madara.


2. Sakura wouldn't be wasting her time

Lets face reality and lets take off our fanboy tinted glasses. Sasuke won't be repopulating his clan anytime soon with Sakura or any other female. Itachi would have at least 3 or 4 wives by now if he wouldn't have let Sasuke kill him. I'm petty sure Itachi's kids would do a lot more than any kids Sasuke could ever have.


3. The alliance hate factor

Assuming everyone isn't like Karin or Sakura then Sasuke has a problem. The entire alliance still presumably hates Sasuke a lot and will probably try to kill him sometime in the future. If Sasuke dosen't go blind and survives the war it would definitely prevent lasting peace with the other nations.

4. Itachi's leadership

Itachi's battle logic and his intelligence would have been a lot better than anything Sasuke can ever possibly do. I'm still confused why Kishi would want to kill off Itachi but leave someone like Sasuke around to be Naruto's sidekick. It's not hard to see Itachi having been the alliance leader and possibly a temporary Hokage until Naruto took over.

5. Itachi's sealing abilities

Itachi's Yata Mirror and Sword of Totsuka would have been extremely useful in stopping Madara before things got out of hand. I don't see Sasuke having any kind of sealing ability so i won't explain how Itachi is also vastly superior in his category as well.

Having looked over all of the factual information the decision should be simple. The wrong Uchiha survived and has so far ruined the manga.

I don't see the logic behind your points here, but Im going to make this very simple: Itachi would have died regardless. Killing Sasuke would have only sped up his death as he would have had nothing to live for, this he wouldn't have prolonged his death like he did.

The logic is the overall usefulness which has been clearly documented in the manga.

Itachi had a disease and used medicine to prolong his life, Itachi isn't the smartest ninja so no he wouldn't have been the leader of the alliance. Shikaku is much more of a strategist who was made the leader of the alliance by A who was the leader at first. Shikaku would be Hokage as well since he's the smarter person and Itachi wouldn't be alive that long since the disease was eating at his body and he endured the pain for Sasuke but have no reason to stay alive and suffer pain when there's other capable ninjas in the village.

Totsuka blade have a sealing jutsu in it, what's stopping Madara or Juubito from using Yin yang to cancel that sealing power? If it can kill the un-killable then it can remove sealing powers as well. Plus Itachi can handle a prolong fight, he has low stamina, going blind, suffers pain from his MS jutsus which cost a lot of chakra and is even worst pain with his illness. Susanoo literally killed Itachi due to Susanoo side effect plus his illness and you think he can take on top tier ninjas?

Itachi would not have been alive for Shippuden had Sasuke died since he wouldn't have a reason to suffer his disease, he was cough blood when Obito mentioned Itachi prolonging his life with medicine all to protect Sasuke.

your last 2 points are legit but leave that lame fruity ass teamwork stuff to Naruto and Sasuke, Itachi Solos.

Basically naruto might have gotten both power ups. Then again Danzo might have took Naruto before, Naruto might not even trained so much since there was no one to rescue/bring back, Sakura might have fallen for Naruto, Itachi probably would've died later due to something else, Danzo possibly would've been alive still, Deidari would still around, team Hebi would've never formed and the members would've still been locked in labs, Orochimaru would've took Kimimaro's body and possibly destroyed the village before pein's invasion. There's a lot of stuff that would've changed...

I think it would have been best if Danzo ended up killing Sasuke. Then Edo Itachi would come back and be such a force, Naruto would get both powers, Orochimaru could have gotten stronger and been a threat, Danzo would be an awesome FV... that's how I would have liked it.
