Itachi lacks the power to kill Kaguya and Kaguya can't kill him while he has the Yata Mirror (she said herself that he is invincible with it).

According to the manga kurana knew a lot about the uchiha but has no intention of revealing the secrets. Also itachi can't technically get his eyes back from saauke as the pattern already merged with saauke it's a chemical reaction so it can't revert back to its original state if it were a physical reaction than that's something different. And itachi's sudano can be worked around where was his yata mirror and sword against kabuto? Plus gaara exposed a susano weakness by shifting the land beneath the users feet and sound also breaks through susanoo, kaguya could easily dispatch of this zetsu's analysis was premature. Hiruzen was favored as the strongest in his time back in part 1 of the series but back in hiruzens time the second homage and first homage could solo him. Analysis can be premature in the fight with gaara kishi hadn't even thought if shikaku and the kyruubi even had a relation until further down. Changes can be made
