I don't think it would have happened just because oro would be focused on Kakashi getting sasuke. naruto would have just been trying TNJ everybody to stop this and cry about the old team 7 and sakura will just be sakura crying along naruto

Naruto vs Sasuke Part 1 with Sai, and Yamato?

Well logically Sasuke was far superior as a shinobi then Naruto.

Naruto had brute, potent strength with his untamed Kyuubi power and rasengan/oodami rasengan/variants/clones and little Genjutsu experience

Sasuke had precise, significant strength with his mastered ninjutsu (chidori variants), genjutsu (3-Tomoe), and Kenjutsu (Kusanagi, if this is not right forgive me. I'm tired today lol)

Not to mention Sasuke was *probably* going to use Kirin against them, he was straight up cocky and he would of destroyed them. Though I don't know how he could of activated Kirin without indications of the clouds from above, but either way Sasuke was OVERLY trained. Hence why after meeting him Naruto went into a straight training arc.

Sasuke would've caught kakashi by surprise just like he did everyone else. Plus if it comes to it He can just use curse Mark and kill everyone. Plus around that time kakashi could barely control MS. If he misses he has no chakra and is easily killed

Like i stated. Naruto was on par with sasuke. His skillset may have been different, and his role on a team may have been different but he was still on par with him. Naruto was also "weakened" beacuase he was never willing to actually fight sasuke with the intention to kill him, while sasuke was always willing to strike Naruto, Kakashi, and Sakura (much less sai and yamato) with the intention to kill. It makes a big difference in a fight. Naruto wasnt weaker the sasuke he just wasnt willing to do what needed to be done, which really does handicap him. Also, Im not sure when Kakashi displayed his ability to use Kamui but i bet he had it when shippuden started even if he didnt display it. Kamui snipe FTW (assuming Oro didnt step in to take kakashi)

Within the first minute of fighting Sasuke already paralysed Naruto and Sai with a jutsu they had never seen. If Kakashi was in Yamato's position he would still have been stabbed in the chest while trying to protect Sakura. He would not be able to counter since he lacks mokuton and Sasuke would have killed him before Orochimaru came to stop Sasuke.

Essentially, it would have been a timeskip Sasuke vs Sharingan Kakashi. The other members of the team were irrelevant.

Kakashi would have been running on low chakra from the previous encounter with Orochimaru and he would have been handicapped since he would have to protect the rest of the team while trying to capture Sasuke.

The fact that the mission was to kill Orochimaru and possibly capture Sasuke puts Kakashi at a disadvantage too. He would have to hold back using Kamui. He wouldn't want to use it on Sasuke and if he did then he would be paralysed while having to fight Orochimaru.

Overall, it was better that he didn't go. Orochimaru might not have spared him. Neither would Sasuke.

Sasuke still would have fodderized all of them. Replacing Kakashi with fodder Yamato would have made team 7 better, but not enough to prevent Sasuke stompage.

Looking back, it's hilarious how Sasuke negged all 4 of them without much effort. They're all dead had it not been for plot.
