Would Sakura Sacrificing Herself Redeem Her?

If Sakura sacrificed herself to save Naruto or Sasuke , would people finally see that shes not useless or would there be more jokes against her lol. If Sakura died protecting Naruto, would anyone care? Would anyone care if she stood up to madara to protect sasuke and got wiped out? Would anyone see her as a hero?
