Been less abusive? As we know Sakura she beats anyone up even for minor things. Let's say if someone does or say anything that she doesn't like, she just beats them up. Sakura can say anything she wants, but if someone says anything about her or even nickname she doesn't like, she just beat them up.

If Sakura was interested in training would that have made her more popular? In Part 1 Sakura refused to train, in the entire part 1 Sakura didn't train, while Naruto and Sasuke went to their sensei to ask for training. Sakura didn't train until Sasuke left the village.

Sakura only trained with Tsunade from end of part 1 till beginning of part 2, which is 3 years training and then no more training after that.

Lets not forget Sakura breaking her friendship with Ino for no good reason, just because they found out they both like Sasuke. That sure didn't make her popular.

It's kinda hard to say what makes her so repulsive. I guess it's the concoction of many factors. Her abusiveness, her dullness, the poor way her character was written and developed, even her design to some people. I think she's just all in all a bad character, because she has too many questionable moments and little to no good ones.

Still, I think the amount of hate she receives from the fandom is not justified. She's a bad character, but not the worst thing about this manga by far.

> Wasn't a damsel and put in some work.

Pretty much this
