Hard work and youth definitely describes the people of today. After his initial struggles, it would have been better if Lee was given ninjutsu as an asspull from Kishimoto.
Rock Lee as a main character would have been amazing. Especially if it was with Part 1 Lee. His character is really enjoyable and reminds me of Luffy and Goku. Except that Lee would have been more inspiring since he had so many tragic struggles. The only problem with Lee is that he's not the smartest in my opinion. In order to deal with the darkness of Naruto he'd have to become more logical and better at talk no jutsu lol otherwise a lot of villians would have to be killed since they can't be reasoned with. Kind of like with Goku who ends up killing his enemies off even though he does try and talk to them initially.
I dunno about him being a better protagonist but he deserved a shit ton more devlopment than he got.

Yes because naruto's fighting style throughout most of the manga was versatile.
Not really, thats only 3 techniques from a main character. If he was developed he could have had Drunken Fist, Ofc hidden gates technequies, and maybe something else.

I cant really argue because one person was developed and one person was not. Naruto had all three skill sets(ninjutsu,taijutsu,and genjutsu) to develop and only spammed rasengan for the whole show. That's boring.

Without his handouts it's p1 all over again: whirlwind 1shot= not worthy enough to even spar the leaf's Green Beast. Hell even Le Sauce would feel the hurricanes.
Rock lee would have been better he should have been able to learn sagemode to enhance him physically and sensory skills. Would have been interesting. With some yang abilities not necessarily chakra skills adds a bit more variety.
He's more relatable, he doesn't have some magic fox that saves his ass whenever he's in a bad situation, he has the biggest obstacle to overcome considering he can't use genjutsu or ninjutsu, his fights would have been more interesting than seeing Naruto just blow up everything with a huge ass rasengan. If Rock Lee was the main character he probably would have learned something cool like mastering druken fist without having to be drunk, learning how to improve the primary lotus, using a one inch punch that punches people through mountains, hardening the chakra around his body so he can take more hits or make his punches/ kicks stronger. This is just my opinion on the matter, i thought Naruto was a good protagonist until this reincarnation bullstuff appeared. And the more i think about it the more he would have been OP because of the fox alone. Too bad kishi trollo shoved this character under the rug along with Neji during shippudden gotta love it.
Kishi should've gave him more screen time and show us his development cause he's the most hard up about becomes strong.. Wed love to see him become a well rounded ninja with only taijutsu. And all his fights where better plane and simple

The issue wasnt who is the main character, the issue is the character development which was about zero for most characters in part 2. Naruto could have also been shown to struggle more in controlling his chakra like we saw in part 1 where he struggled to climb the tree and how he couldnt summon a whole frog initially. Even his shadow clone technique was his worst jutsu because he couldnt balance his character correctly. But then part 2 everything is just 9 tailed fox mode or rasengan shadow clones. Even his family and discovering who he was could have been explored more. Maybe after losing Sasuke he could have investigated the uzumaki clan and looked up a picture of the 4th hokage and said hey he kinda looks like me. Thats the biggest issue with part 2, so many characters who had potential werent used.
