Nope people wouldn't be afraid of the dark, it would be roamed like nothing is there, its all about orientation, and that's all I Can say.

Yes. Historically and instinctively, humanity does mot set on the top of the food chain. During our earliest days (before fire) night time was when predators would strike out at us...as a result, human kind resorted to banding together to increase survival rates.

While it isn't as prevalent, we still instinctually fear the night if we are in fact outside and even more so alone.

i think that horror movies and stories came because of the fear of the dark. not the opposite.

Scary movies are based in the dark because people have a natural fear of the dark, or a fear of the unknown.

We don't know what could be/ is hiding in the dark, which is why so many people are afraid of the dark.

Of course! The dark is a natural fear - humans fear what we don't kno or understand.

Maybe not. I doubt it. Movies are, generally, what puts the idea in people's head to begin with. Then again, someone had to think that idea up and thus could tell it in story form. So, maybe yeah, we'd still be afraid.

The fear would lessen, but movies and stories play a big 95% role in people fearing the dark.

I'm just scared of the dark in general, can't remember any horror movies I've watched.
So I'm positive that it's pretty safe to say that we'd still be fraid.
