Would Obito's intangibility work against 8th gate Gai's Night guy/moth technique?

Well i was wondering Kamui is a space time jutsu that grants the user teleportation as well as intangibility.
Intangibility allows Obito to walk straight through almost everything,however when Gai opens his 8th gate i.e The gate of Death and uses the Night guy/moth technique all the space in the immediate vicinity of the technique gets distorted.

Therefore i think that if Obito were to use intangibility against Gai's Night guy technique he would well get Obliterated ..

What do you think about this?

Yes, it would work. Fair is distorting space, but he's doing so to the space of the dimension he's in. He's not distorting any of the space Obito's body is physically occupying.

Depends on how Gai's distortion works, but Kamui probably could still avoid the attack completely. Not sure on what you mean by Gai getting obliterated.

He distorted the space, not space. If Gai had distorted space with his own being, he would have been dead there and then from being turned into a mangled pile of flesh and bones.

As per the raws, "空間" is an airspace, in others words, just a physical space. As opposed to "宇宙", which is space in the context that so many people have confused it with.

Yagai works on the same principle as Hirudora and Sekizou, a concentration of energy into a single point; a quantum fluctuation. The differences are that unlike the latter two, it's on a far greater scale (a lot more intense), is formed by spiralling the energy inwards towards himself (hence why Madara's staff bent) and it's maintained for a period of time as opposed to Gai pushing the energy outwards for the one shot blasts of Hirudora and Sekizou.

The winds will push Obito back with force since wind doesn't overlap with his body but Might Guy's kick itself will go through him. I'll say the only damage Obito will take will be from the force of the winds. I'd say evening elephant would work better against Obito since it's an air cannon compared to Night Moth which is a kick.

Depends on how long Gai can maintain 8 gates for and capability of following him underground as well.

I'm reading this post of distorting space nonsense here, especially implications of affecting a body across another world entirely.

By brute force 8 gates shift the air space around him, transportation kamui warping from one place to another already does that but has another world called kamui in the middle of that distortion.

It call comes down to timing, which one last longer.
