now that they are gonna fight together and later compete for the title of hokage, do you think it will still be a deathmatch or just a fight that ends until one person cant move anymore like their fight in the valley when they were kids?

I don't think they will fight to the death. They might fight until the other is clearly beaten though if they do fight.

I don't think Naruto has ever truly wanted to fight Sasuke to the death. Now that the village is not endangered by Sasuke, I doubt he would ever try to kill him.

I don't think they were ever going to fight to the death. Naruto told Itachi that he would somehow find a way to protect both the village and Sasuke. Apparently this now has something to do with the position of Hokage. I don't see the Alliance just disappearing after the war, so clearly there has to be some sort of unified government system.

If this truly is the end of major conflict, then there really won't be a need for shinobi, either. Maybe as potential peace keepers or to protect against regional threats, but the whole purpose of the separate villages is to protect the nations from each other. Perhaps, some sort of tribunal system will develop after the war. One in which Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all will play a role.

Thinking about it though, Naruto and Sasuke are technically both Genin. There has to be something in place that would require them to achieve higher ranks before being considered for Hokage. Maybe, their "final" battle will be as part of a new Chunin Exam in which they face off in the final round. They wouldn't be able to fight in a village, because their basic techniques would be too destructive. Imagine if Naruto had been able to summon Bunta during the first Chunin Exams like he had originally planned. Add in a completed Rasengan arsenal, Naruto's various modes, and Sasuke's lightning and Sharingan arsenal. They could easily level an entire village on accident. Therefore, they would have to fight in a location that is far away from any village, and the only logical place in the Land of Fire would be the Valley of the End.

that's a good analysis it makes sense, could it be that naruto said it would be to the death because he was obviously weaker than sasuke when he saved sakura? cus naruto himself said that to the other friends back in the village. he was just bluffing i think

I agree with most except for this. Kage tend to typically be the "strongest in the village". Also, other villages tend to recognize others based on their strength as well, so the need for the lords and jonins and such of other villages needing to watch Naruto and Sasuke be in some sort of "exam" is not needed when they already know of the progress these two have made.

It's pretty common knowledge now among all five villages and even the Land of Iron that Naruto is a perfect host and Sasuke is a Sharingan master. Kakashi said that Jonin TYPICALLY (meaning not always) have mastered two elements. Sasuke can use fire and lightning, and has been doing so since the Chunin Exam arc. Naruto has mastered Wind, but then again he's also bee going up against the two most evil ninja in history, one of which had six tailed beasts being pitted against him for the last 100 chapters.
