[Spoilers] Would Marco become a Yonko, if his crew won the payback war?

As title says, would Marco be acknowledged as Yonko instead of BB if he won the war against Blackbeard?

Keeping in mind that hypothetically speaking marco defeated blackbeard a guy portrayed himself as very dangerous to the world during marineford + its not just the remnants of the whitebeard pirates, all allies of whitebeard have now pledged their allegiance to marco.

And before anyone comments "another marco fanboy", please don't. ​

The Yonko controls territories, defeating BB would place him in the right spot, but he'll have to defend/reclaim his territories to be considered one.

if he happens to defeat bb, then ofcourse he would have been able to hold the titile, because it would have been an indication of superior strenght on marco's part

The fact that the winner of that war was waited to chose the next yonko may be a hint that he indeed could have become one well at least in terms of overall power considering yonkos also comes down with their territories and i don't remember if Marco's group had territories left by that point. Not that it mattered anyway considering with their victories, they would have most likely made through the hole left behind Blackbeard's conquered territories too, so yeah i guess they could have been the next yonko.

For the time being, yeah...

But the other 3 of Yonko, knowing that their strengths are massively depleted... Maybe want to take a bite off their territories and eventually swallowing the whole WB remnants.
Teach was in luck that he knew about everything he needed to take the void left by WB and defeating Marco & co. just endorsed his eligibility for the title to the whole world.
