Also note that Karin's chakra prowess, which we know very little about, can't help her contain a tailed beast. We know very little about Mito's abilities but from the information Kushina knew, she had qualification to be a host

Kushina had knowledge of sealing jutsus, techniques that often play a role in the sealing of tailed beasts, and as of now, we have no knowledge that Karin has any mastery of sealing jutsu, and it's too late in the series to establish if she has any such qualification.

It doesn't matter if a Shinobi candidate has a massive amount of Chakra and is predicted to live for the next century, if they have little control over their emotions and have almost zero skills in containing massive entities with sealing jutsu, they're not qualified to be a host at all.

Naruto has kept it sealed tho it leaked several times and Naruto almost turned into the Kyuubi but in the end he became a Perfect Jinchuuriki and now he has gained trust and power from all the other bijuu. Karin would do a better job than Naruto at keep Kyuubi sealed since she has chains. But as far as utilizing Kurama and combat Naruto is WAAAAAAAAY BETTER.
