If he had joined the Uchiha revolution, many innocent Konoha citizens would have been killed as well as the Uchihas. Revelutions and civil wars are like that. You are saying "imaginary war", but revolutions usually happen accompanied by a bloodbath or did you miss the history classes?

I'm not going to bother myself discussing the semantics of pacifist. Obito said he was a pacifist, but I guess what he meant is that Itachi hated wars and was ready to do everything to avoid that "imaginary war".

And I didn't imply anything, I actually posted a scan saying that Itachi had he wisdom of a Hokage at 7 years old but you are denying that, saying it's not valid because Hiruzen is a bad Hokage. Obito and Kakashi don't have such hype that Itachi has, if Kishi let implied that, who are we to say otherwise since it's Kishi who writes that? Let's not forget, if everything had gone in the right way, Obito wouldn't have awakened MS neither he would be trained by Madara. He wasn't a genius, he would be an average Uchiha, unlike Itachi, who was a prodigious even between the "most powerful clan". And Kakashi wouldn't have the sharingan as well, he is obviously more intelligent and smarter than Obito, but he wouldn't be as powerful as Itachi with 3T. So Itachi >> Kakashi and Obito.

We have Hiruzen drawing obvious parallels between Hokage and Itachi - reinforced by Itachi's age, Hiruzen presents Itachi as someone fits the ideal of what a Hokage should be.
Someone who isn't bound by ties to their clan but someone who can see the bigger picture. His capability to do what needed to be done (something Hiruzen stuggled with himself) and carrying out his duty.

I think from what was said Hiruzen marked him out as a potential candidate, certainly one with the capacity to rise to being Hokage and it would have (perhaps) been an ideal solution - had time allowed it - to win the Uchiha over (not even a lack of Madara/Obito would have cured them of their resentment of ill-treatment (note: Tobirama).

Itachi becomes Hiruzen's student, a show of faith between Uchiha/Village - Fugaku named his second son after the Third's father, there had to be some respect between them. He is made Hokage Candidate and who would go up against;

• Jiraiya - who would decline if asked.
• Tsunade - why would they choose her unless there was no one else?
• Kakashi - would, like Jiraiya, refuse if given the chance.
• Obito - I don't 100% believe his not dying/meeting Madara would result him being a Kage-level shinobi at this point. But for the sake of argument, he would fufill the need for a Uchiha Hokage. I don't think he would do as well as Itachi, nor be as respected as Itachi by the likes of Danzo etc.

Hmm, no. Watch the anime (since they are the only thing that gives us a look at how the uchiha thought), Uchiha showed furstration at Danzo/Hiruzen's bickering and non-unity. Uchiha were mad that they couldn't go protect the village against the 9-tails... when a group is segregated from the country they helped defend, and start to change that country's government.. it doesn't mean the group is thinking about themselves before the country.. it means the group thinks the country needs a change. Which in fact is thinking about the country. And bloodbath was done evern without the war.

Also a mere 3 tomoe isn't mere at all. Itachi was renown and exceptional as a kid and anbu captain at 13 with no ms. Even when he first appeared in konoha in part 1 kakashi heavily expressed to asuma and kurenai how powerful Itachi was and kakashi didn't even know he had ms at that time. So regardless with ms or 3 tomoe Itachi would still be powerful.

Kakashi made a name for himself with 1 3tomoe sharingan. Kakashi was one of the most known shinobi in history when he just had 3 tomoe so Itachi with just 3tomoe would still be legendary.

I can't believe this is being debated.

With madara dying then there would have been no radicalization of obito nor would he be saved from the boulder. With no old madara there is no obito and no kyuubi attack. That means kushina keeps the kyuubi, naruto is never made jin and minato is kage for the next 15 years at least and that means the uchiha wouldn't be accused of the kyuubi attack and that means no persecution of the uchiha thus the uchiha remain alive and thriving.

That also means no radical sasuke, danzo would be g flushed out as a uchiha **** rider and hater at the same time and shi sui still lives.

Wow that's how much stuff would be different if ol Godara died along time ago. It shows just how much madara and black zetsu affected everything.

So all that praising was of 3 tomoe Itachi. Also kakashi couldn't even keep up with 3 tomoe Itachi...Itachi used a clone, a water jutsu and switched places with his clone all by just pulling out shuriken from his jacket and all kakashi was able to read was the water jutsu.

Itachi in part 1 was the most powerful shinobi shown maybe jiraya could have beaten him but at that time jiraya didn't have sm and I highly doubt no sm jiraya can beat 3 tomoe or ms Itachi due to the fact of genjutsu and speed.

Lmao I was watching the anime part of The edo hokage talking to sasuke and when hiruzen realized how oro brought them back by releasing the death reaper seal minato was impressed and said " Mr. Orochimaru how did you..." and oro said " minato you underestimate me ".

I think kishi put that little exchange in their to show oro still felt a little animosity towards minato over the hokage title. It seem like minato never really knew oro.
