He was the first Uchiha, Indra wasn't Uchiha he was an Ootsutsuki, and it should be fairly obvious he had the Mangekyo considering he was shown with a Perfect Susano'o !

Not Rinnegan equivalent part but It can cast Genjutsu like what Sasuke did to Bijuu and also have S/T jutsu. I think it possible.

Indra had Mangekyou Sharingan with a pattern that is similar to the circles of the Rinnegan (his father's eyes). And I think that his MS was much more powerful than the MS of the Uchiha like Itachi, Sasuke and Madara. I guess Indra's eyes even had the same attributes like an eternal MS, because he is the first son of Hagoromo and got his potent eye-power/spiritual energy.

I don't know indra was the originator of the sharingan,it's most likely he had three tomoes as his eyes from birth,so i don't think the same rules might apply to him,wasn't it stated ems was required to use ps,while kakashi used it with ms and madara with no eyes,so it's not that far-fetched to say that indra had only three tomoes.Though i agree he might have had ms.

He's direct Hogo descendant so i'd say yea because his MS had a Perfect Susano'o while no other Uchiha accomplish that same feat with MS only EMS.

There really is no way that Madara or Sasuke was on the level of Indra because their using ninjutsu and their blood is watered down not ninshuu.
EMS IMO is way weaker than Indra's MS cause he is direct descendant of Hogo, no mix blood in between.
Indra's MS probably would've developed into Rinnesharingan if he lived longer but yet again we get these characters an no back ground on them because the manga/anime is/was rushed.
