For a Gentle Fist attack to work, the chakra actually has to make its way into the target's tenketsu and shut it down. The chakra from the attack isn't going to make its way through the armor.

First of all, wrong scan.

Secondly, no where has it said, to my knowledge, that lightening armor protects against attacks nor has this been shown, any tanking feats from A or his father are through their own durable bodies. I even read the wiki article on this technique and no where did it mention that it can defend against attacks, only that it increases speed and reflexes
