being called the 3rd sage of six paths just means that you are considered a reincarnation of him. it in no way implies that you are anywhere near as powerful as him though. nagato is only considered a reincarnation of rikudo sennin because of his rinnegan, which isnt even his.

Having rinnegan doesn't = to being the sage of six paths.. that's one half of his power. the ocular half, nagato also was uzumaki, and had senju blood in his veins, Nagato isn't a reincarnation of so6p.. not in any way...he has , just like madara and tobi, obtained the power of the sage... power that can easily solo kages and other ninja.. hashi is no exception

Hashirama was the man who made multiple biju's his bitch. He defeated Kurama and EMS Madara simultanously. Nagato would win IMO but recent hype would declare Hashi the winner. Third sage of six paths is good but Edo madara with all his immense power still claiming to be inferior to Hashi is just amazing. Edo madara>Nagato, therefore this hype's Hashi to a whole new level. Kabuto even said his power was a fairytail like that of the SO6P.

he never said hes inferior. only that hashirama can stop him. deidara was overall better than sasuke but sasukes the only one who can deactivate C4 and live. that doesnt make deidara inferior. he jsut fought someone whos his natural perfect enemy.

ABC logic fails. madara is not far above nagatos level. hashirama has no experience with rinnegan and its said if you dont know nagatos powers, hes unbeatable.
being unbeatable, invincible, leader of the strongest criminals, never lost a fight etc is all better hype than just being good at supressing bijuus.

Supressing biju's is technically the same thing when you have CONTROL over them. I said myself i think Nagato would win but not in terms of hype, understand. It was Hashirama's doing.
