Try Code Geass if you liked Death Note, it may seem weird at first, but trust me, gets real good.

Also try watching Bleach, its great as well

Try it out just to see if you like it. I enjoyed it initially until they put in too much fan service to the point that it bugged the hell out of me.

Cheesy tactics to get viewers to enjoy the show doesn't work on me. Just felt that it took away the seriousness of the plot.
