I honestly think the 1st and 2nd were introduced pretty lamely. Having these 2 mediocre versions of their past selves both being taken down by old man Hiruzen was a bad way to introduce the guys, especially as after the fight ends you still basically know nothing about them other than the fact that by what you've seen so far, they aren't that strong.
They got cooler later but first impressions are everything.

No but the worst introduction ever is Omoi & Karui.

This character is well-written in the respect that Karui is totally f*cking obnoxious. She seems like an even bitchier version of Sakura who has more anger management issues. I'm sure she's mad that her sensei has gone missing but beating the shit out of this Leaf kid who isn't even putting up a fight and could murder you isn't the way to go about it.
And then worst bit is- she never shows up again! She never does anythign of value ever again and that is the only impression we're left with.

I hate Karui, so much. Shame that one-dimensional, p*ssed off females like Sakura exist in every village huh :\

Yes, the shodaime and nidaime hokage were introduced poorly, it took us what, a decade?- for us to know something significant about them, not to mention that the Senju clan was introduced later by Kishimoto in order to give them importance, so retcon+poor presentation+ 600 chapters to know something about them it's not a good combination.

Yeah :\ even just one cool technique could've solved this problem |: just one panel of some cool jutsu that fails would be all thats needed but no, jutsu are restricted to main characters like hinata and kiba only duhhh
