Obiti's story was definitely the dumbest villain reasoning I have ever read in a manga. There is just no way you can be OK with ending the world because your love interest was killed by your best friend. He could have just killed Kakashi when he passed out and called it a day.

You can't really blame Obito for his emotions. Its obvious that the Uchihas in general have a weak heart, they are easily moved by love and once losing it they go into full rage.
-And from there Madara just molded him into the character he is today. If anything its Madara's fault altogether, but hey lets not go pointing fingers
