Dramatic major deaths only. Which of these death scenes failed to resonate with you at all?
Jiraiya's never hit me hard because really he never did that much, especially in Shippuden and because the whole Rain mission had strong ominous foreshadowing but at least it was in a good spot in the story and did something.
Neji's is obviously weak because it had no reason or rhyme. The despair factor would've far more engaging with Obito killing someone like Kakashi and THEN giving Naruto his no hope speech.
Mine has to be a tie between Itachi Round 2 and Kimimaro. Never got the deal with him and his death was random and spontaneous, just like....oh okay bye then? Thanks for the random hype and pointless backstory...good one. And Itachi's second goodbye was just...awkward. "yeah go and destroy the leaf if you want i dont really care for some reason bc you're my brother its not as if you'd be shi*tting over my entire life's goals and everything I put myself through for you"
Minato and Kushina's death was a little bit of BS on Minato's part and the fact that he really didn't need to orphanise his son but the fact that Kushina is there makes it a really good scene dramatically even if Minato had to be there.
The only real well-done major deaths are Hidan, Konan, Kisame and Chiyo IMO.
