As far as we know now, or rather, what we don't know, the theory so far will remain as matter has always been in existence, with no beginning or end. Until we progress further and discover just what exactly created matter, then the theory stands as is.

Furthermore, that's a very long ways into the future of studying and research. I believe we should focus on expanding our existence to the next habitable planet rather than search for an answer that probably lies within the origin of the Big Bang.
