Hellohello

Alright then, to start it off simple and easy; Why Mokuton? In its core, what are its properties and its strength/weaknesses?

Hellohello

Hai o^o

Mokuton/Wood is composed of Water and Earth elements combined together, with 1 element on each hand, therefore Snake hand seal is usually the method of casting. The element is literally a result of turning one's chakra as a source of life, growing not only wood but plants as well from surroundings or even one's body.

Mokuton holds up well or neutral to most elemental interactions specially water and earth(pokemon logic: plant life needs water and soil). While lightning's destructive properties can prove strong enough to tear through wood(also being composed from earth). Unique to the element comes with the ability to resist and even suppress bijou along with their chakra.

Wood is love, wood is life.

Brilliant yes, let me add a note of it's neutrality to fire though, In the sense that if a Wooden pillar is going towards the enemy, and he uses a Fire jutsu of the same rank on the pillar, it would ignite upon flames, but still continue towards the opponent. After some time, the pillar would fully oxidize from the air, turning into ashes, but at the same time extinguishing the fire. Speaking hypothetically, fire wouldn't be the best element to use if the wood is close to you.

Now, extend both your hands forward, palms open and facing the sky. Then begin to slowly concentrate on the Doton and Suiton chakra in your body. Send your Doton chakra towards your left hand, gathering it in the palm, and do the same with your right palm, but with Suiton. Once you have gathered a substantial quantity of each, slap both of your hands together forming the snake hand sign, and in doing so mix the two elemental chakras together, utilizing them which would then form the newly found Moku chakra. Channel this new found chakra throughout your entire body and into the ground beneath you, where you finish it off by turning it into a physical property, forcefully raising a single pillar made out of Wood in the space in front of you.

Got it

I begin stretching my arms pointing all the way up, with palms open. With a deep breathe, I begin to surge doton chakra towards my left palm and simultaneously channel water to my right palm. Once I felt ready, I slam my hands together to a snake hand seal, combining both elements. Feeling this combined chakra surging throughout my body, I send it towards the ground, in my mind visualising a pillar shape. Shortly a single pillar erupts from the ground in front of me, sprouting few meters tall.

Well done xD
(Mokuton No Jutsu) - Wood Style Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: Creates small wood pillars or trees to trap, defend, or fight with. These can be created from the users own body or from the ground.
I mean this is like the foundation upon which all other Mokuton jutsus are based on, this one in it's own right is extremely adaptive/versatile, you can make a sharp pillar underneath the feet of your opponent and pierce him, you can make a elongated pillar that suffocates him from his neck, you can make a pillar underneath your own feet to help you evade an incoming attack; don't get me started on making pillars from yourself as well, you can protrude pillars out of your own body to help with close combat, to act as a shell/casing which could push other attacks away or change their trajectory paths, you get the overall point.

Anyways, place your more dominant palm onto the top of the pole, and by using your Moku charka decrease its density, allowing you to further manipulate its shape to elongate it, making it become thinner though longer at the same time, effectively turning it into a pole made out of Wood.

After that *summons a dummy* Take the pole and beat the dummy's ass with it.

Okie dokie o^o

I lay my right hand against the top of the pole, channeling Mokuton chakra into it. With my energy running through it, prompts the pole to begin to growing longer and thinner before I pull it off the ground. Gripping each end of the pole/staff, I perform a left swing towards the dummy's buttocks then an upswing to its crotch, the force sends it flying up and lands on its head with damaged cracks.

(Mokuton: Moku no Goku Rendan) - Wood Release: Wood Pole Combo
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user creates a thin pole of wood from either the ground or himself. The pole itself can be used as a hand to hand weapon to strike opponents or as a support tool.
So let's pick the pace up a bit xD You've dealt with direct manipulation of an existing source of Wood as well as protruding a simple pillar of wood from the ground itself. What I want you to do this time is concentrate on your Moku chakra, kneading it throughout your body and channelling it dominantly towards both of your arms, holding your hands out with your palms facing skywards; your Moku chakra should take the form of simple branches growing out of your hands. From there, by using shape manipulation compress and form the branches of Wood into that of a simple projectile, about the same size of a kunai, make 3 or 4 of those; your choice.

Having done that, simply throw them towards your dummy, the projectiles follow Wood's elemental weaknesses and can reach up to long range. It's a pretty useless technique but it's nice because you can laugh at your opponent for the fact that your projectiles are made out of Wood and his ones aren't.

Pointing my hand forward while I knead Mokuton chakra, channel to it to my palm. A 3 little roots begin to sprout from my palm before glowing larger and I compress its shape, manipulating it to form 3 kunais. I simply clutch my hands to grab the kunais between my fingers and with a swing of an arm, send the projectiles flying towards the dummy, all landing on its head.

Brillianto
(Mokuton: Moku Hasshi no Jutsu) - Wood Release: Wood Projectiles Technique
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: Focusing chakra into his hands or the ground, the user will make 3 to 4 small (kunai sized) projectiles of wood and propel them against the enemy.

*Calls dummy over* Let's name him Joey. Joey is just like any ordinary dummy made out of Mokuton, he can be a great sparring partner. He is essentially made from your Moku chakra, covered in thick layers of dense wood thus enabling him to pack quite a great punch, his movements and actions can all be manipulated by yourself; albeit he can't actually perform techniques, he just engages in hand-to-hand combat. Again, not great for battles but if you were to find yourself sitting by a corner crying over how lonely you are, you can always whip your own dummy out and have some good fun u.u

Trouble is, he's quite complex, to create him you first have to feel like him. Clap both of your hands together and create pillars to erupt out of the ground besides you, and by using shape manipulation manipulate the pillars so that they have fully cascaded you, effectively creating a shell that covers you all angles from head to toe. Make the pillars compress down upon you and form a simple layer around the outline of your body, and once that's done break free from their grasp.

After that it should be simple, now that you've felt how it is to be a dummy, make a dummy. Grow pillars out of the ground in front of you, use shape manipulation and form a simple dummy, let's say 6' in height and a simple build.

Hi Joey (`・ω・´)^

I slam my hands together, kneading mokuton chakra to the ground, prompting 4 pillars to erupt to each corner of my position. I focus on the pillars to begin to wrap around myself, shaping to almost like cocoon of sorts, until I compress it to form like a layer of wood on the surface of my body.

Hmmmm...I feel taller o_o and bigger >.> Breaks free from the wood coating

I proceed to erupt 4 pillars again, this time they all converge together in front of me as I picture in my head when I was coated as wooden dummy and an idealised body type would be like. With the wood shaping itself to my desire, a wooden humanoid about a 6 feet tall and similar build to myself steps out of the remains of pillars.

I shall call you Puzzles!! (´▽`)

Holahola Puzzles <_>
(Mokuton: Mokujin) - Wood Style: Wooden Man
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A(+5 for any hits landed by the dummy)
Description: The user creates a training wooden dummy to help him train or to fight against an opponent.

(Mokuton: Moku Henge) - Wood Style: Wood Transformation
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10 (-5 per turn to keep active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By focusing chakra and performing the Bird → Dog → Snake hand seals, the user makes wood pillars sprout from the ground and cover his whole body, while using chakra to cover it with precision to produce the desired effect. By covering the wood with his chakra the user is able to transform it into another shape or form with increased detail, by using his wood chakra. This is used to create an effect similar to the transformation technique but to a higher degree of detail and realism.

Alright, the next one is really simple and shouldn't really be a jutsu on its own as it's easily a feat capable of being done by the generic D rank wood technique. But we have to cover it anyways. Concentrate on your Moku chakra, channelling it throughout your entire body as you slap both of your palms together, and into the Earth, targeting the patch of ground right beneath your hypothetical opponent. From there, force a single pillar, of width enough to cover both feet of your opponents, to erupt out of the ground. The pillar itself causes minuscule damage, the top is a simple flat, blunt surface which is used simply to move and deter your opponent's actions. Whilst yes it is good for what it does, the range is only short and the action can be performed by ''(Mokuton No Jutsu) - Wood Style Technique'' Which has a range extending up to mid, thus why in comparison it is the inferior one in my opinion.

Puzzles stand over there (> ._.)>

I slam my hands together as I channel Mokuton chakra, and then placing my palms to the ground to where I send the energy. A cylinder pillar erupts a few meters high under Puzzle's wooden feet, pushing him flying up the air.

Poor Puzzles T___T
( Mokuton: Mokuchū Noboru ) - Wood Release: Wood Pillar Climb
Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their wood natured chakra to create a pillar of wood rise up beneath the opponent lifting them into the air.
Alrightyo, final D rank. Begin by releasing a barrages of attacks towards Puzzles <_<, be it kicks, punches, palms, elbows etc. Your choice, then follow on by utilizing Mokuton to aid you with the Taijutsu. Wave your left arm through the air whilst kneading Moku chakra throughout the whole arm, effectively cascading it so that you can use the aspect of making wood grow from you, I want you to turn said arm into that of a single, small pillar which, dictated by your earlier wave, is pointed downwards to the ground. The pillar has a blunt surface and upon impact with the ground doesn't carry any influential damage, but rather can be used as a pole vault, to shift your centre of gravity, as it will easily be able to hold you up due to its density, and can enable you to gain momentum for your next attack. So send the pillar down onto the ground, and jump up into the air delivering a simple kick to your Puzzle's chin, knocking him into the air, using the pillar as a support to add exert extra force into the kick.

As I perform a volley of 5-6 punches to Puzzle's chest, I simultaneously knead Mokuton chakra in my body, channeling it to my left arm. With the final punch, my whole arm transforms into a small blunt pillar of wood as I pull it behind me, pointed towards the ground. The wood pillar is used like a pole vault, pushing me off the ground with forward momentum while I land a right kick to Puzzle's wooden chin, sending him tumbling in the air.

Don't worry Puzzles, I'll piece you back together *^*

Alright, lets do this. I usually do RP type of training but we can do analyses type, where you don't really have to RP.

Minato makes his way to the training field, where he had to go teach Hashirama the basics of Mokuton, since he seemed to have lost his memories. Hazama became too lazy to finish it off, so it was up to Minato to save the day, I mean finish training the first. Nonetheless, without any need for a long introduction, Minato started off. He launches a scroll towards Hashirama, revealing the technique he last learned with Hazama.

Rank: D
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will attack the opponent multiple times with several punches and kicks before turning their left arm into wood that extends out into a small pillar and pointing towards the ground and then lifting them towards the opponent where they finish them with a kick to the chin lifting them into the air.

"Hello, Shodaime sama. I will be finishing off your training. My way of training is different. I will explain the technique, and I want you to analyze the technique for me in terms of how you see it, advantages and disadvantages. Lets start off then!

The first C rank technique is simple. You will use your Wood based chakra and focus it to your dominant hand. You will then form a shield of Wood, which consists of three parts, all which emerge from your hand. This shield is very durable and capable of stopping some Taijutsu attacks (mostly free form though) and can be reconditioned at any time. That means you can drop it off easily too."

It requires no hand seals making it handy for close quarters or when you need a quick defence in a short amount of time. You could probably use it offensively as well, like a shield bash or charge for extra blunt damage. Though due to its size, its unable to block against large scale ninjutsu attacks or high rank taijutsu, and I wager it wouldn't hold well against elemental enhanced attacks, especially against lightning.

"Great job, and indeed. Here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user forms a shield of wood, which consists of three round parts out of his hand. The shield is very durable and can be removed and reconditioned any time the user wants to.

"Next, you will use your Mokuton chakra, to create several Wooden men (similar to the one you created earlier). These Wooden Men mimic the moves of the opponent, and can be made from any existing Wood, Water or Earth source. Though its main ability is only usable with a technique that we still have to cover, making it quite a useless technique on its own."

Its good for a sparring partner xD or maybe if you want to annoy your opponent. The wooden man also is only capable of mimicking freeform attacks, limiting its uses.

"Very good, here you go."

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user creates a Wooden Men (similar to the (Mokuton: Mokujin) - Wood Style: Wooden Man technique) that mimics his opponents moves. While it can be created from existing wood, earth or water, its major ability is that if used with Wood Men Coffin it can drain way Chakra from the enemy.

"Alright, next on the list. Form the Snake → Rat → Ox → Ram → Snake hand seals. You will then focus your Wood chakra into the ground, where you will then create a home from which can be used for defense or to just chill.

After that, form the Ram → Ox → Boar → Snake hand seals and use your Wood based chakra, to create a wooden prison from the very ground. The size of the Wooden Prison can be any size you want. Its very durable and can be quite useful in containing prisoners."
