I think he would use it to revive senju allies
so they could help in battle
he wouldn't need to control his own brothers

regarding Life & Death.
(others would want their loved ones brought back)
also Edo could & would be used for Causing Harm.

Edo Tensei behind Hashi's back.
Made a secret agreement after Hashirama lets Madara
retreat back to his Uchiha CLan Village.

def love this one. i thought of this the other day but didn't make a thread for it. i honestly think that tobirama edo'd izuna to make madara happy initially......then to assassinate madara! imagine him having to watch his brother die, to be revived....only to find out he was sent to kill him!!!!! that would give madara enough fuel for his fire to want to destroy everything! his plan is to complete a worldwide genjutsu where everyone is happy and there is no pain....which would mean izuna would really have to be back to finally stop madara's pain. but he hasn't tried to do anything in how many years?? i mean he was in his lil cave thingy forever.... that is leading me to believe that his fight with hashi was out of anger. tobirama ordered izuna to kill madara, madara defeated and sealed him, and then he wanted revenge on tobirama so hashi stepped up and said that he won't allow madara to kill him! enter the fight between hashi and madara!

Exactly. Since he said that, I always thought Edo Tensei was created during the First Shinobi World War in order to clear the battlefield of all enemies.

he said originally, meaning thats what it could have been made for, but not what it was used for. i think since it's reveal that everyone that knows of it knows it as forbidden and even go so far as to detest the jutsu all together. as if it were a disgrace. i haven't seen one forbidden jutsu that was viewed as disgraceful until edo tensei came about.

i honestly see edo coming to an end. an end that might possibly concern madara, izuna( by name) hashi, tobi, and oro. we all know how big snake boy's brain is. could he possibly alter edo in some way? more so than he already did? he might just find out a way to put a sort of life lock on it and prevent anyone else form altering, manipulating, or cancelling edo but himself. this would make him the sole controller. he is the og villian of the series anyway, and that would essentially bring everyone else up in development in a way. if edo's have to be sealed, and oro creates an edo village or something.... who knows( im not big on that theory though lol) but i do believe that edo will come to an end while involving those 5

You are right. Although i am not the type to say who's theory is better. I think that your idea of MADARA & TOBIRAMA is a really great logical theory in the sense that Hashirama would turn down Tobirama in creating Edo Tensei so he would turn to Madara. Although, I cannot find it hard to believe that Tobirama and Madara could co-exist in working together in that regard. I would think that Hashirama and Madara working together would be more likely than Tobirama and Madara hence the peace treaty between Senju & Uchiha clans even though Madara didn't really want to agree to it.

I cant really see them working together either , but I think if they did it could be very uncomfortable for tobirama.....

also he could have been tired of losing senju, so he wanted tobring back dead uchiha and make them kill eachother in battle
to spare the senju lives
