The Dark Knight is one of the most wanked films in history by these same critics and all people hope for good films. Grown-ups care about a good time at the movies and tend to generally be above this Marvel/DC, PS4/Xbox brand wars.

I don't think you quite understand the concept of critique. They're just cineliterate judges for your entertainment/guidance, not the sole decider on a film's quality. You consult a sports commentator over a football game/half-time because they're experts and you hear out a weatherman predicting the weather.

Like, me for example- I write the occasional column or editorial but i'm not a Marvel fan or a DC fan. Most, like me just look and hope for good movies. Which Snyder hasn't really made across the board for a while.

Depends on the extent really. I for one acknowledge the big problems Man of Steel and Batman v Superman had but I enjoy them fairly enough. They're ok/decent which isn't really the picture the critics have painted as the reviews I read at the time (and I've read plenty) were almost entirely void of actual constructive comments instead being full of un-substantiated bashing.

It's the degree that counts - the sensitivity.
