Well, I disagree with the point that Religion is responsible for the mistreatment with women's.I am Muslim and Our religion Islam, tells that Men and Women are different but equal socially,morally and they shouldn't be oppressed or not given their rights properly.
Don't know about christanity but i think Gender Equality is the Universal Principle of All religions.
But as there are Black sheeps everywhere, So some have manupilated religion as a basis to justify their mistreatment.
Women have participated in the world , For E.g:- Mother teresa etc.

I am Muslim too. The only thing men have the are better then women is that their physically stronger then women. Every thing else is equal of women and my religion treats women with very highly respect .Muslim girl here. But Muslim men don't. I think it was men being physically stronger is why men have dominated the history and left women inferior. Many many many years ago women could not go alone by herself to places because she would literally get rapped or kidnapped. Now in the modern society there is more security and things that protect women. Rape rates are very high. Like many ppl parents worry if their daughter is out late or going on their first date but that's not the case for their son. I think this will always exist. Women are physically weaker than men and I think this were the men took advantage of women in history. But now men have more brain and don't think women being weak. Yes most guys know female are weaker then them but they don't take women as weaker *** all. But now I think in this society in the moderne society women are being used as ***. Tool . They may have power but every show cartoon adds poster have women usually exposing their body or being used as *** object like. It's competely stupid. It pisses me off.

Anyone that believes that has some problems...or they really bought the lie wholesale. So you mean to tell me that women were treated poorly 100-200 years ago? I know this, I'm one of the few that still opens the door for a lady. Women used to be held on a pedestal as if they were all queens. Gentlemen would stand up when a lady entered the room, and her seat was pulled out for her. Women were not only respected, but they had respect for themselves. You can't honestly believe that women have any respect these days. Yes, now they got what they wanted, to be treated as equals...but I don't think women realize that they went down in society, not up.

Oh, and my favorite part of this is that now women have to work, whereas before a man was willing to basically be a slave for her and support her. Women have also thrown aside the most noble of jobs, child rearing, to take up jobs that have no honor in them. It's just funny to me how stupid people are. However, many women as of late have realized that it was a stupid mistake and have stated they wished they could go back to the good old days when they were pampered.

Jokes on you, ladies...now I can go find a woman with lots of money and raise her children for her and not have to work. So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for lowering yourselves so that men can have a chance at the lifestyle you used to have. :devil:

I don't know, it seems like a simple question to me. Treat women as you would treat men, but have some courtesy, some chivalry. Open doors for them if you can, if you see them drop some stuff, help them pick it up, so on. Be classy. It's important.

Well, I don't think courtesy should be used...I do use courtesy personally, but women don't deserve it these days. They want to be treated like men, right? Well, I can show them how real men treat each other...then they'll beg for how it was before. I would never hit a lady, only a coward or another woman hits a lady, but I can can demonstrate what it's like to be brought down to the level of a man.

I've thought about it like that before, but there are only a couple of chicks I'm really good friends with I can do that to. Most women have me whipped. Tried to treat em like men; couldn't do it.

20th century has ended, so people should stop spreading this BS about equality as well. Men are good in one thing, and women in the other. It doesn't mean that one gender is worse than the other. Each gender is adapted to do their own thing, and it's supposed to stay that way.

I tend to ignore all the prejudice when i meet someone, woman or not. I act how i want to act and if they have a problem they can screw themselves. Also, i'm not above hitting a woman if it comes down to it.

A man who hits a woman is nothing more than a coward that needs to be executed. Now if a woman is about to kill you for some reason, then either you deserve it, or they're crazy. If the latter, then hitting is allowed in self defense, but rarely is it acceptable unless absolutely necessary.
