Can I ask if the topic of the lie was about affection, if that was the case you can't really blame us, I sometime tell white lies to keep the harmony. Like to friendzone people, I think this thread prove who was the more sensitive gender. Men are. Women just are more empathic.

For one - you started this thread. Experience of the people differ. Something are so ingrained in our behaviour that people do not even realize what they just did.



Oh really and still men get paid better when they are hired for that very job. So does that mean that those men are much better at "sucking up"?

Most of the times if women are getting hired more in number for a job than men it's a job where companies want to pay less and get more and they are often seen as much easier to manage. Now that's my experience. Something even the guys working with me confirm.

Actually I heard the rant from them about girls for accepting such jobs for lower wadges and thus making it a bit difficult for them to do the same. There are many cases where to keep the same job women have to put in more efforts than their male counterparts.

A distant cousin ( female) just last year recommended her brother with same qualifications for a job in the same company. He was hired. She was happy for him and at the same highly irritated. She was acknowledged for her skills , had been working for more than a year there, they even agreed to interview her brother on her recommendation- and they offered him much better pay than her. She was earning less after one year at the job than her green horn sibling was going to get. That's how it goes..

Unless you can give me proof I will have to disagree. Women actually get paid the same for those positions and take over 50% of the work force. And Obama passed a law over a YEAR ago saying they can't paid any dif.

I Worked retail all through college. I Managed and I worked from the bottom and top. I can also give my mother a call because she as well is a veteran of the retail world being she worked in it since she was in HS and all through my life while my dad served. All her stores are multi million and companies send her to fix stores that don't do well. My Father worked district for some of the bigger places like Walmart/target a few years coming out the service making well over 100k a year.

And heres the simple facts.

#1 More retail stores are clothing stores aimed at women. Women will always get first dibs when it comes to hiring due to common sense. If Men are hired they will be pushed to working freight more often, Again common sense ( even if it is sexist )

#2 Retail pay sucks and always has. Pay depends on experience and hours are rewarded to those who make sells. So guess who makes more sells in a market of clothing stores for women worked by women? yep that's right women.

#3 the turn over rate in those jobs is horrible. People quit, waste time and don't care. if your getting paid over the minimum wage working retail then that company sees "some" value in you. I can count 15 out of 20 locations I worked that I the man had to do the heavy lifting because " I am a man". And i was paid less for doing More work.

If a Man is being paid more for doing the same job as the female worker, guess what? He isn't. More then 90% of the time 2 opposite genders can both be doing cashier. And every time the male will end up doing the females part of job. The female workers could lift things themselves, Kill bugs themselves and pick up a dead rat themselves. But they dont.

Hell I could name 20+ jobs in retail locations from Small mall stores to Huge super targets where both people get paid the same and the male will be the one doing more work. Any Late night 5am stockers here? Guys who load the boxes and do all the work and when it comes to cleaning up it's usually a man doing the trash compactor ( unless a female manager is helping ). When it comes to retail the only hard workers are the female managers/ ones looking to be promoted. Most of the other workers are slackers.

#4. Please learn how the work force works. That old "female workers get paid less" trend has always been false. You can't take the pay average of Women who take 6 months off after having kids, days off every month for their period and compare against the average of men who don't take days off, work overtime and so on. No Shit they get paid more.

" More men are CEOs". Well no shit More MEN started those companies. Maybe women should start more major companies in the USA? They get Tax breaks for owning a business for JUST BEING A WOMAN. See the double standard there?

#5 Women get paid more in the lower end fields, aka the fields more people have a chance being in without college.
Women Bar tenders sure get paid more. Hell jobs where "Tips" in the usa are dealt women will always do better. I can recall a dozen+ stories of female friends who were tipped their entire months rent at one table. Again these jobs require the social skills I was discussing.

But of course this accounts to Attractive women. Just like Strong and powerful men do good in their fields.

You can't see there and cry fowl against the fact Sexy female bar tenders get paid more then ugly ones like I can't argue against Strong male fighters get paid better then fat slobs. Always trying to argue for the minority whos always in the disadvantage is STUPID.

And about your brother. I have honestly tell you to get use to it.
I have tried time after time before to get jobs at certain places back in HS and never could. Places I will fill out applications,call and go in. Nothing. My Sister would walk in and they would OFFER her jobs. That's the power of a pair of tits. I have plenty of female friends who are crazy good looking who can fill out an application, walk in and be interviewed and hired on the spot. ( these girls are party animals, idiots and very good looking ). And I have normal female friends who can fill out 120+ applications and have Zero luck.

My Tip? Learn the things I said before. Telling people what they Want to hear. Don't lie but don't tell the truth either.
it makes you seem confident and gets people to do what you want without having to tell them what your after. it makes you sociable and gets you jobs. That's what I did after a few years of the BS when I was younger. You have to learn to play the same game the managers are playing and their higher ups and so on. All that business talk Shark stuff.

1-My point was exactly the same- you posted in a thread about who lie more than women and implied get positions in retails because of that. Now you are talking about other skills and actual work.

2-Not every one lives in USA, dear. And I am still not sure despite what your laws maybe about women getting paid as much guys for the same amount of the work everywhere. Some do , some don't. I am not talking about averages.

3- I don't work in retail myself . Do not intend to either. The incident I mentioned- that guy was not my brother either. As I said - a distant cousin. Yes I'm aware why he was offered more- the outstation field work. Thing was his sister wanted to and let her boss know clearly that she was ready to do those tasks but her company didn't want to to give her those responsibilities- for the same reasons you counted as an advantage in some fields. She was a girl. No - it didn't involve any weight lifting but the same thing as she did while staying in the office building or within the city. Call it patronizing or avoiding future complication which may or may not arise her boss told her for "security purposes" he won't they avoid sending girls to other places. So she was stuck.

In the end only thing you conveyed is that everything is situational and cannot be generalized. I wanted to point the same so yay. :p

I don't know, I do tend to lie a good deal in real life to get out of awkward situations.
So yeah.... I think it couldn't be cut down by gender lines. Everyone sort of lies
