friends asked for drinks, both health nuts. i go downstairs find all that's left are cans of coke and minute maid orange juice. give coke to one friend, hand orange juice to the other. he looks at it and says 'whats this shit, gross. i want some water.' other one over my shoulder chimes in, 'suck it up, i'm drinking a ****ing can of gasoline'

Coke is really bad for you but it's in limited amounts. Excess of anything will harm or kill you.
Excess of something that is originally harmful just makes it all the worse. But dang...

Pretty much anything in life requires moderation. How is it possible to drink 10L of anything per day in the first place?

I try to drink at least 2L of water a day. I can't imagine drinking much more than that.
