Thats not true I'm only scaling his power to what BZ thinks just like other character have. BZ was completely off the record and watching the fight by himself. He believed he's invincible meaning while he has those weapons activated he could be more capable than kaguya herself.

As for what black zetsu said was just to make itachi look more badass in battle,his role on that battle was narrator, also do you remember that in DBZ piccolo, vegeta, frieza, the androids, cell and majin buu were all said to be the most powerful beings at their respectives arcs? the hype of piccolo was broken, vegeta´s too, frieza´s too and it goes on and on.

As a storyteller you´re not gonna say the hero is fighting a weakling, to make the hero look good you also have to make the villian look badass and powerful that was BZ´s job, to give hype to itachi and also he was united with white zetsu at the time so he was under the disguise of being the creation of madara, he wasnt saying itachi was by no means invincible to all, he said itachi could not be beat by sasuke and guess what sasuke won because itachi soloed himself using susanoo.

Itachi Totsuka is the true solo god for a reason. Most likely the universe yielded to his might and offered its power to the solo god, resulting in him yielding his sacred weapons.

well you don't know jack about his powers. He can go back in time, and kill itachi when he's a zygote. He can send anything itachi has back to him with no effort. His shield has feats, unlike yata mirror.

One thing that I don't get is that if these items are indeed this powerful, how did Itachi (just another Akatsuki member) get ahold of them? They should have been hidden away so that even a teenager shouldn't be able to find them. Oro was said to have been searching for it and even he didn't find them. And the dude is amazing at solving problems and tracking things. I think BZ was just over exaggerating the idea of him being invincible. Or he just compared Itachi's status to Sasuke at the time, suggesting that Sasuke is a goner.

Dude accept it, itachi was never meant to be invincible, itachi is great character but in the end itachi was a plot device to justify sasuke´s actions, besides the only ones we have seen soloed by totsuka was oro who didnt even bothered dodging because he thought he could tank it and nagato who had movility problems and itachi used the dust as a diversion.

I doubt that itachi can even compete with the speed of the top tiers, an attack is useless if you cannot land it and about yata you just have to outspeed susanoo and aim for someplace yata is not shielding, The weapons are as powerful as their wielder and itachi has powerful weapons indeed but he niether has the stamina to keep it up for long nor the speed to land a blow in a toptier.
Even if you dont have a more powerful attack, alot of characters could win by dragging the match and waiting for susanoo to wear out, the reason itachi as an edo could hold susanoo for longer time is that edo dont feel pain whatsoever and they have unlimited supply of chakra. But even healthy itachi should have trouble handling his powers becuase as you may recall an excesive use of ms causes blindness to itachi and his body suffers great strain when he uses ms.
