But anyways, genjutsu is one of the 3 jutsu styles alongside ninjutsu and taijutsu. Genjutsu is strictly illusionary meaning that what happens in the illusion does not at all occur in the real world. However, strong genjutsu that fatigue the mind and conscience can end up exhausting the victim and bringing the physical effects of the gentjutsu to the actual body.

Putting his hands together, Itachi(Just got approved so wanted to switch and try him out xD) focuses and channels his chakra throughout the air around him. Using said chakra, he slowly distorts the surroundings around himself and Pein. The original training forest slowly morphs into a nice sandy beach. The illusion creates a bright, sunny, summer environment as the trees and the fields slowly fade away.
Decent. Let's see if you can handle sets of two. For this jutsu, form a handseal and throw a paper bomb at your target as you cast one illusion on him. The illusion should hide the paper bomb in what appears to be a clone of yourself running at him. Techniques like this one demonstrate how one could combine an illusionary attack with a real one. Just remember its range is limited. There's your target.

Facing the Pein that is approaching him, Byakuya takes a leap back while forming a handseal. As he does so, he channels his chakra towards the Pein to cast an illusion. Taking out a paper bomb, he throws it at Pein but to Pein, it is merely a clone of Byakuya running at him so he reaches out with his sword and slashes at it causing the bomb to explode.
Now, putting his hands together, Byakuya channels his chakra outward and creates 5 fake clones running towards Pein. As Pein fights them off, anyone of them that he attacks splits into two more clones. Taking advantage of his teacher's confusion, Byakuya starts turning around to run off and hide from his teacher.
I think you're misunderstanding something. When casting genjutsu the chakra you use is not sent the target like a projectile. It is instead transmitted directly into their brain. Try these two again.
Itachi closes his eyes and sends his chakra into his opponent's brain. He then forms one hand seal to cast an illusion as he throws a paper bomb causing his opponent to see it as a clone instead. Itachi stands back and watch as the opponent tries to slash at the paper bomb with a kunai causing it to detonate faster.
Next, Itachi quickly creates 5 illusionary clones running towards the opponent. The opponent rushes to engage the clones in combat but as the clones are attacked, they keep splitting and multiplying. Taking opportunity of this confusion, Itachi runs to find a hiding spot.
Close enough. You'll need to work harder if you want to fool anybody with those illusions. For the next technique form five handseals before casting an illusion on your target. To him, your body should appear to dissolve into many cherry blossom petals. That's not all. Those petals should surround the target, obstructing his vision as well. In reality you are free to move with your target unaware. Take him down with stealth.

He will see leaves begin to spin around him and eventually fall to the floor. A moment later, he should witness his greatest fear right in front of him. Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.
Standing in front of the clone, Byakuya performs 5 handseals causing him to slowly dissolve into cherry blossoms that fly and surround the clone completely obstructing the vision of the clone a full 360 degrees. As the clone can only see a whirlwind of cherry blossoms, he is distracted allowing Byakuya to pull out a kunai with an explosive tag throwing it towards the clone exploding it on impact.
Facing the big version of his teacher, Byakuya performs 2 handseals channeling his chakra to cast an illusion. Then as the Pein stands there wondering why nothing is happening, leaves start to pick up from the ground and twirling around him. Getting dizzy, the Pein falls to the ground. As he slowly comes to, he looks up to see a huge plate of food consisting of many fried delights. Salivating slightly, he runs towards the food only to see spiders crawl out from under the food blocking him from it and a few start to chase him. Letting out an unusually high pitched squeal, the Pein quickly forgets the food and runs away.
Nicely done. Now that we've covered basic illusions you're going to learn how to break or release them. This is a crucial knowledge for any ninja so listen closely. As you know, genjutsu works by altering a person's chakra flow. To return his chakra flow to its normal state, another imbalance must occur to dispel current ones and allow his chakra to reset itself. Three basic methods exist to do just that:
Pain (lol): Possibly the easiest but most dangerous release method is producing pain. Like waking a person in slumber, it is meant to shock the body which alters his physical energy. This in turn creates a spike in his chakra, breaking the illusion. The level of pain needed to break an illusion increases with higher ranked illusions. Here's a basic guideline.

Some ninja like myself are more accustomed to or resistant to pain, so this method won't be as effective for us. Hence, we move on to the next method.
Foreign chakra/energy: Basically, having chakra transferred to you by an ally or taking in any foreign energy such as natural energy into your chakra flow will unbalance it and thus release you from genjutsu. The last method is most important.
Kai/Chakra Surge- This one is meant to alter your spiritual energy through sheer willpower. Two ways to do this is through the Kai technique or causing a high chakra surge in your chakra flow. To break illusions with a chakra surge you must release large amounts of chakra from your whole body using a suitable jutsu. It should be at least one rank higher than the illusion so the surge overcomes the illusion. Raw chakra techniques must be at least two ranks higher.
As for the Kai technique, i will teach it to you now. First, form a handseal and focus on your chakra flow. Through willpower alone bring your flow to a halt before suddenly starting it up again with a surge of chakra. This will disturb your spiritual energy and get rid of the illusion cast on you as long as the chakra spent is equal to the chakra used for the genjutsu. Not all genjutsu can be broken with this technique. They include paralysis type genjutsu and Mangekyo Sharingan techniques. Your skill also determines the level of genjutsu you can break, higher skill allowing you to break high level genjutsu. If you're ready, try and break this illusion. Kokuangyo no Jutsu!

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion

Itachi had no time to react because a split second after Pein uttered the technique's name, Itachi's vision turned pitch black. He couldn't see a single thing. What the hell..? This isn't a beginning technique, I can't see a thing! It's as if he was standing in a huge black void. Taking a deep breath to calm down from the effects of the illusion, Itachi closes his eyes remembers the what he was told. Putting his hands together, he channels all of his focus into his chakra flow. Noticing that it was flowing in an unusual pattern, Itachi forcefully tries to stop it. Though it took some time because he has never done it before, eventually the flow of Itachi's chakra came to a halt. As soon as it does however, he quickly charges it back up causing it to spike and go back into the original flow. Opening his eyes, Itachi comes to face the forest that he was in and a smirking Pein.
Not bad. Combating genjutsu efficiently depends on the method you deem appropriate for the situation. The next genjutsu relies more on deception than others. It is cast on a moving target who is made to believe he is moving in a strait line but in reality travels in circles. This is accomplished by shifting the image of the victim's destination without them realizing it has moved, making them follow it back to where they started. If the victim travels in circles for hours, they'll become exhausted. Try it out.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique

Use your control over their senses to mentally weaken the target and convince them to give away information, similar to a truth serum. It will only work on a target at least two ranks beneath you.
