I guess this was the last technique I got up to, of course you have to teach it to me, senpai.

Doton: Dai iwa Kyojin no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Great Stone Golem Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long (Made short range of the user with a long range reach)
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user creates a even larger and stronger version of Earth Release: Stone Golem Technique. However, unlike the smaller version, the user creates this stone golem from the ground solely. The user will slam his hand on the ground, manipulating it and shaping it into a large warrior of stone which he can control as long as he keeps his hand in contact with it or with the ground and keeps fueling the technique with chakra. The golem can reach heights of 30 meters and is quite massive but seems to also be capable of moving quite fast as well.

Good, good u-u. Let's begin. I prefer discussions over just summary because I know you're capable of reading just fine. Anyways, tell me what you think about this one. We'll continue the discussion from there. I love this one, by the way. One of my favorite Earth techniques simply because of how much you can do with it.

The technique is definitely versatile, that's for sure. It creates a giant golem that has an incredible reach, potentially killing people from long range. As a long range fighter myself, I find this to be a very useful technique to use, and would probably use it a lot if it weren't for the high chakra cost and just how big it is.

For the most part, it's a great technique that I couldn't even think of everything that could be used for. Offensive purposes: the sheer power would stop most techniques in its tracks and continue to kill the target. Defensive purposes: given the size it could easily defend against smaller attacks that aim for the target specifically. Or even supplementary uses: such as giving yourself a geographical leverage in battle. There's just so much you could do with a single technique, it's incredible.

I do have a couple questions in regards to usage of the golem. Firstly the technique states that so long as chakra is fed into it, the golem can keep moving and attacking. If that's the case, what would be the cost to keep using this technique after created, and can you perform other techniques while still in control of this? Also regarding this line of thinking, would it be possible to "take over" a golem that someone else has created? For example: you create a golem in a fight, and two moves later just ignore it, so I fuel it with chakra in order to attack you from behind, or wherever you created the technque.

Another question I have is how does the golem work when it's stopped? I know it would take on a humanoid look when active, but after that when you're not fuelling it with chakra, does it just pause? Or would the technique crumble under zero influence? Could I potentially use it to pose in a certain way before releasing control over it, so I could still use it to my advantage after I cancel using it?

Good questions. So as it says you need to keep fueling it with your chakra. Meaning you need to maintain focus. So yeah you can't use other techniques while keeping this one active. Now...your next question is very interesting. I've seen it done once before. There's no reason why it can't work.

I always imagine it to be akin to a statue when it is no longer fueled. Assuming it hasn't taken any damage since you stopped fueling it then I believe it would stand as a statue. But would easily collapse when struck by a much stronger technique.

That's what I was thinking. Perhaps another usage of the technique would be to erect this golem, then position it in a way that when you release your grip on it, the earth stands still as a statue. Perhaps positioning it in specific ways means having a stronger defense all around. For example, if I were to position the golem in a way that would cover myself from all sides, I think that would be pretty beneficial to me.

But yeah aside from that I have nothing more to add to this technique. I'm sure I'll find my own ways of using it in battle.

Just keep in mind that it isn't S-Rank in strength anymore once you've released control over it.

Moving on. Let's do these two together because they are sibling techniques and they are also the final earth techniques. These are quite the techniques. Your thoughts?

(Doton: Chōkeijūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage poitns: N/A (up to -40 if used to boost speed of a physical attack)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically decreases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. The technique can decrease the weight of the target to virtually zero but the bigger the target, the more time is needed.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

(Doton: Chō Kajūgan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Super Added Weight Rock Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A (up to +40 if used to add damage)
Description: A more advanced version of the Earth Release: Added Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically increases the weight of any object in direct physical contact, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. This technique can increase the weight of a target up to 100 times. Under certain circumstances, the technique can be used to increase the force behind attacks.
Note: The weight change lasts 2 turns or until countered.

These two techniques are similar in the way they act, but at the same time are polar opposites of each other in how they act. One increases the weight to points where they couldn't even be moved, while the other to the point where there's zero weight behind the attack. I'm pretty sure these are the signature moves of the 3rd Tsuchikage, Onoki, but I can't be so certain about that.

All I really know about these techniques, but mostly the first one is that it's commonly used as a counter to Swamp of the Underworld, as it would increase the weight around the user, and prevent them from sinking. I kinda fear these techniques as a puppeteer just because of how strong they can be at rending myself as useless. If someone were to increase the weight of one of my toys, I wouldn't be able to use it, but at the same time with the light-weight version I also wouldn't be able to do much damage with the technique. Though the latter does give me ideas as to how it can be used practically.

A small question about these techniques: it mentions that they last for two turns or until countered. Should I take it as you can't cancel this technique yourself? Also I'm not really sure how this technique would actually be countered, since it really only seems to have an effect on someone's weight. Would it be countered with the sister technique? Meaning if you used added-weight, I'd use light-weight to counter it.

One more thing, does this have a cosmetic appearance to it all, or is it virtually impossible to tell if someone's used this technique until the weight gain/loss takes effect?

I actually believe that these no longer can be used to counter Swamp of the Underworld. I am not absolutely certain but I've heard recently that the last time someone tried to use Super Added Weight Technique against Swamp they died. I'll ask to get better confirmation, however. For Light-Weight you have to keep in mind the benefits you gain when you remove 2 ranks worth of damage. Such a drawback in terms of destructive power reduction does come with a large boon in terms of added speed. While there is no particular number for it it is impossible to deny that the added speed is immense and definitely worth it in many scenarios.

Good question. I'm under the impression the effects of these techniques can be removed yourself without the application of another technique. So yes, you can cancel it yourself without the use of the opposite technique. And you can counteract the application of one by using the other if someone else uses it on you or an object in your possession.

No visual tell beyond the increase or decrease in speed. Although I believe customs that are made with this can darken the skin.

If you have no questions go ahead and make the Fire thread :).
